not if ur car is suppost to have a certain amount of compression
Hypothetical example:
ie ITR is suppost to have 230psi over all cyclinders, but comperssion test shows only 170psi over all cyclinders
its got lower compression cause something is not sealing properly in the engine and is letting air/fuel escape
turbo cars run low compression, but thats cause they were designed to make less compression as the cylinders move up and down etc

yeh compression test is jsut to test to see the condition of the cylinders and how they are sealed etc.
if you get varying results in a compression test such as 1 cylinder has 180 psi and the rest of them have 230psi then you know you have a problem in this cylinder.
to diagnose this problem you usually will follow with a leakdown test to see where the compression is being lost and usually this will point to a certain area in which you need to get fixed.
i jsut wanted to see the condition of my car before i went ahead and boosted, and surprisingly it was in great condition for its miles.
For a B18B 200psi is usually the max amount and 135psi being the minimum amount, lots of varibales though such as what type of compression meter used as they all yiled different results.
Also if the results show low compression in all cylinders but all 4 cylinders are similar (within 10 or 15% i think) this is more important that the max result that you get. consistency is more important with compression testing.
