 dealers are professionals at skewing the figures on trade-ins,...
Have you looked at converting the car to manual? that's what i'd be considering.
I went to trade in my LS and GSI at the same time to get a DC2R teggy, this was 3 years ago though, They offered 2k for the LS1990) and 12K for the GSI1993),
Told them to fugg of politely, sold the LS for 7k, and the GSI for 14K and got me a skyline with change left over, Then finally after all that i netted myslef a DC2R 2 years down the track, dealers are fugged, sell privatley man..
Dealers are there to make money they will do whatever to get a bargain they are in no way going to give you what you want for the car or its private value
i say sell private in the mean time pay off as much as you can :)
good luck
im sure if you ring your finance company they can tell you the procedure in the event you want to sell your car.... coz if you do a revs check itll show money oweing and noone will buy it... must be a way you can sell it
u will get $4000 if u are extremely lucky
friend walked in with a MY2000 DC2R and he got offered $15000
go to www.redbook.com.au and find out the estimate... gives u and idea on wat the dealer gonna offer u ...
