Mate, B16A is B16A, not number at all... Doesn't matter if it's lifted from an EF or an EG. It will have B16A stamped on it and no number. Call it B16A Gen 2 or EG6/9 B16A and people will definitely know you've got a JDM motor not some USDM or AUDM spec B16A1/2/3/6... As soon as you include those numbers as a suffix on the B16A, its not JDM spec!
Ah crap... *bows to Jason* Sorry Jason san... I guess what I got taught by Ben, John and a few others obviously full of shit too...
Its ok my son, I'm full of shit too... :p
I never said anyone was full of shit, i merely stated that it has nothing to do with my original question!!
I accept that i should not have written B16A2 now can we move on from this!!
btw you question has been answered.
Its stamped on the head
I don't know if I should try to throw a monkey wrench in this thread or not..... considering I've already been labeled a "noob basher" by one of our lovely mods for not understanding what the hell someone was asking.
Screw it... is it confirmed the stamped date on the head is from engine assemby date, or is it simply the date the head was cast?
Good enough for me, cheers for your help guys, mods please close thread!!
With pleasure :)
