in terms of strength, both engines have thier weaknesses. The b16 has higher compression (and higher pricetag), which means less room for error in running gear and tune. But u get more power per psi. On every engine there are weakpoints, for hte b16, im sure its the ringlands, for the D, its the rods.

Well i dont think i will do the conversion in my current car, simply because the coupe is so damn sexy!
Due to the fact that the sohc has rear drums, how much to convert that?
Also, would the dohc be 'stronger and last longer' due to turbo conversion compared to the sohc?
Also is it required to replace the internals after turbo conversion - some say yes u do, some say no u dont, its quite confusing!
