Not sure about the Lude VTi-R, though I'd imagine it to be the same. It's just cos the engine is running a little rich, that's all.
here FLY...a short search and this thread came up
hope it helps

Mine's a '99 and still runs great! No problems at all since new, except for a bit of a squeak from the driver's door. I'll get Honda to check it out next time its in for service, otherwise it's damn reliable. Just keeps on going and going and going...like the Energizer bunny.
clutch has a funny squeeking noise.. dunno if anyone else gets it
is that a common thing about the clutch making funny noises?
cheers guys.
im gettn the car checked out at hannys before i purchase it and have heard great reviews abt hannys so i guess i would trust their judgement.
From what i have researched the civic coupe doesnt seem to suffer and common problems like the FTO which is a good thing.
BTW are parts for civic coupes easy to come by??
cheers
civic coupe parts..
civic coupes r powered by b16a DOHC VTEC
there r alots of parts for B16a.and easy to come by.
and most of the mecanics like sussy, shaft,s etc etc r shared between
integra's civic (EG,EK)
so search a bit and u can see stacks of parts mate..
good luck
hehehe thanks mate.
Cus for the fto when someonething breaks down it cost a sh#tload to fix cus there are not too many parts around.
I just spent the last 6 weeks looking for a driveshaft for a Civic Coupe 99, and I still wasnt able to find one.. for an average car your looking at around $100 - $170 for a Civic good luck finding one below $350, and if you buy new from Honda I think the quote was $500!
I just ended up getting mine repaired... so no parts are not easily found for the same model...
