I've currently got 205/40/17 with offset of either 40 or 42, and am about to buy Tein SS coilovers....im going to lower between 1.5" - 2". Should this be fine? or will i get scrubbing?
From Best Motoring ( ;) ), the Esprit EK9 runs the following:
Front: 225/40R16
Rear: 205/50R15
Rubber: Bridgestone 540S (Esprit), Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R (my
recommendation, if you can source them)
cheers
I use to have 17s and my car was dropped on its ass... i had no problems with scrubbing. was just a little bouncy n would get stuck on speed humps
now ive got 19s and still using the same springs as i did when i had 17s
I dunno wat the tyre size iz tho
As others have said - it depends on offset and ride height.
16x7 are best for EK4/EM1 for the performance but if u got an EK1 then might as well get larger ones like 17-18 to make it look good cos perfomance wheels arent gonna do u much good
 make it the two of usQuote:

not really any problems with it.. unless i got a full car it scrubs when cornering hard and when i hit bumps..
would probably go for 205/40 though..
