injen cai... u dril these two holes at specific places.... cos their spot welds..... so ocne u drill thsoe two holes, u jsut bend this palte back and fourth and it comes off.
As mentioned by reckless you have to take off the small side part of the battery holder. If i remember it correctly all you need was a flat head/phillips, and basically a toolbox lol (size-10 mm in particular), something to cut the fender... the annoying thing was gettin the pipe to fit to the screw position on the fender perfectly. Just remember not to cut the fender too much as said on the instructions.
I own a DC5 and a VE SS and I have to say they are two cars that sound nothing alike. The K20 induction sounds more like a motorbike than anything else.
I had the Injen on my car before starting the rebuild. It took less than an hour to fit and instructions were quite simple. Obviously running J's Racing intake now.
Nice.. Will be attempting to install my CAI this weekend lol
no worries buddy. good luck. let us know how it goes
I installed my Injen CAI christmas eve, started at 5:00pm finished at 8:00pm (- an hour for dinner) Hardest thing is trying not to scratch the Injen pipe when installing LOL
and OMG it sounds good when its on. Took my brother and dad for a drive and the whole street on christmas eve had the sound VTEC screaming.
man it sounds so much harder than fitting CAI on EP3 (ie. no need to replace water bottle and battery tray mod).
GL with the install.
imagine if immy had a type r or s.. sound better
