12kgs all up in sound deadening front and rear and firewall carpet removed from an EK
Sounds like some nice extra weight to get rid of but how much difference in noise will it make on a EK Sedan?
quite a bit and imo the car feels more rickety too in my eg. lol used a flathead screwdriver and hamemr for mine! tried using a heatgun but found that ended up melting the tar and made it harder to get off!
1. strip all interior pieces or the aprt that you want to do
2. flathead screwdriver and hammer (found that when using a chisel i accidentally punched a hole through my chasis has been welded up now)
3. start hammering away
4. degrease the whole thing use plenty of it!!
5. wirebrush to remove all the excess
6. dry off
7. quick respray =] optional!
my 2cents hope it helped.
I only used around 4 kilo and i done to the rear o the front seats
I found dry ice to be better because it came off clean and easy and left little residue that was easy removed with a quick wipe over with prepsol
If you can get the dry ice in pellet form and leave it in the bag or put it in smaller bags.
If you have any troubles just give us a yell
