Is your spare not a space saver? If not get one of them.
I placed it back... it weighs 14.7kg
there's countless time you can spend with your car...

DAMN! a space saver weighs that much!
If I had a garage,it would be like my second home :)
IMO the weight lost by not lugging the spare around will only be measurable on the race track, and even then only with a very consistent driver as any improvement in lap times would probably be slight enough to fall into the 'random variation' / 'not statistically relevant' sort of area for most drivers.
Even on the race track you just won't actually feel the difference through the seat of your pants, whether in acceleration or handling, unless you possess an extremely sensitive and well trained arse.
As part of a more comprehensive weight loss program it would be worthwhile for racing (well you just wouldn't take it on track would you?), but for the street you'll need that spare some time, maybe not today or tommorrow, but sometime in the next few years wouldn't be all that unlikely. I've had two flat tyres in two days, had to borrow a car to buy replacements late on Xmas eve, of all times!
as above - its hardly a difference to a already heavy car.
IMO just leave it in. Its not a track car and never will be "fast". So why short-change yourself ?
lol this happened to me, pulled the nail out and everything.. got the spare tyre out ready to put on and oem Honda tools didn't fit my nuts.. may as well have removed it :/
It is illegal to not have spare tyre though, but unless your expecting your tyre to burst, taking it out and having those licorice looking puncture repair kits is sufficient.
But as stated, pointless on a heavy car.. won't even notice it.. where-as on a lighter chassis like a stripped EG, hanging a dump and taking a piss before driving would be somewhat noticable :p
buy a foam in a can from supercheap for $10. A second replacement for the spare. weighs less than 400g
Who needs a spare when you have this http://www.motoricus.pl/items/ogolny/tyrerepair04.jpg
Had one in the car for 2 years or so.
^^i can't really see the pic on the can clearly but can someone gimme the rundown on what it does?
i'm guessing it pumps a flat tyre with a foam that semi hardens?
Hey ,that looks sweet! Gotta check that out.How does it work?
