It took all up 4 days, had a few issues getting stubborn CV joints out of the hub.
It cost me total for parts about 1700, i did the swap myself, so free labour and lots of patience.

yes i did keep the B1....
1700??? not including gearbox right???

Amazingly $1700 Including Gear box, from honspares in melbourne.
$700ish for gearbox and parts related, ie shifters, pedals, mounts clutch etc.
the rest was new clutch and various bits encountered on the way.
Sorry no pics that i can remember taking.
no pulley, 3 jacks, one being a 4wd jack to get the car right up, and to help lower the auto and raise in the manual.
As for the process,
Simply,
Remove the air intake, and battery and related items like battery holder and stuff like that.
Then make sure the engine is supported by pulley or in my case wood shielded jack under the sump.
remove wheels, then cv's from both sides of the diff.
once all thats cleared of the gearbox, support the gearbox and (don;t forget to drain auto fluid) remove all bolts and shift linkages. release from engine block and lower down out of the engine bay and move it aside.
Then you can remove the torque converter mount of the camshaft and attach a nicely machined flywheel. attach clutch and then you can raise your manual gb in and attach, or do the pedal setup either was it doesn't matter. don't forget the manual shift linkages and stick.
once that done get the linkages all attached to gb and new left hand side manual drive shaft and intermediate shaft.
then put all the battery starter motor, air intake etc back, and give it a go.
(THIS IS AN EXTREMELY BRIEF OUTLINE OF TASKS)
But it gives you an idea of whats involved.

edit - ahhh awesome, should be pretty swift if i had everything...
Gearbox had about 250K on it and it shifts very well and is quiet, they pretty strong and reliable, not like there is masses of power running through them.
ask as many questions as you want it only helps you make the right decision.

Spend the 1.3g and get a h22a manual.
Install yourself (good luck) and get a manual car, with a big hp gain.
Fat VTI people dont have as much money as you to spend the extra 1.3g..
there are alot of h22 conversions out there but meh nothing wrong with the f22
might even just stick with the auto box its still in fine order
unless theres a thread thats produced solely on CD5 H22 conversions and states
everything needed and time and overall cost with decent parts self installation
i dunno whether i would bother

there are countless threads made for the conversion.
ozaccord (b4 it fkd up) had a very good one.
as did gen5alive (i think) and a few other yank ones.
If i was to do it, id spend the extra money for the h22a, countless modifications after that, there are only so many things you can do with the f22b1 without major fabrication (NO i am not saying its impossible)
U can even get a hectic sticker "DOHC VTEC" and call your car an accord type R (when it isnt).
Anyways, hope the manual works out.
im interested in a auto shifter, that has a button for the "sports mode" / overdrive.....never seen one to fit a honda before... any of you guys?
you have sports mode in ur CB7???
