i dont like egs but that gold colour one is the coolest car ive ever seen, cleanest honda ive ever seen!!!
US ebay has it all man
vision headlights?
and like any projectors from usa, if you get them you will need to take them apart and flip the projector cutoff shield to make the cutoff right for aussie roads so you dont blind other drivers.
+1 to manabir
does anyone have a DIY on making LHD into RHD projector lights for AUD?
man those headlights are DAM HOT!!
Yeah, on that with TheSaint, we need a DIY for changing the headlights, really want to get those and then fix it up!
anyone got a shot of these on a white civic?
i can put it on a white civic if you want (photoshop) =)
i've done it 2 rayb3nas car, put the headlights, front mount, hood and windscreen from the car on my dp to his car . lol
yes...infact i do.
one i wrote up for preludeaustralia.com
so its for the prelude projectors, but would be a simular process for others.
Quote:
just did this so i thought i would fling up some pick and let people know whats involved in the process.
it is nowhere near as daunting as it looks. took me less than an hour while watching southpark. and i am not the best at this sort of thing.
(note: i am not responisible for any damage cause in the process of undertaking this process yourself using my instructions. ie...dont sue my arse.)
FIRST...you need to purchace a set of ebay projectors for the 5th gen lude.
these are the ones i got:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...adlights-1.jpg
now gather the tools needed:
- new headlights
- oven
- 2 knives (crap blunt ones...they will be ruined so make sure you dont wanna keep them)
- phillips head screwdriver
- hotglue gun
next you need to heat up the oven to 140 celcius.
once its at temp turn it off and pop a headlight in there.
leave it in for approx 7 minutes.
take it out...be careful not to burn yourself.
this should have gotten the glue nice and soft.
using the 2 knives pry the lens off the backing. you dont have to rush it...but dont be too slow as the glue will solidify again given enough time.
also make sure that you catch any strands of stretched glue before it lands on the reflector...dont wanna have to try to get that crap off.
repeat this process with the second headlight.

now you have to undo the hight adjustment screw on the back of the housing.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/Manabir/HLBack.jpg
once this is all the way undone you can pop the reflector from the backing.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...jectorback.jpg
undo the 3 large screws around the back of the projector bowl
the whole projector bowl will now come out.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82.../Projector.jpg
undo the 4 screws on the back of the projector bowl to pop it apart.
one its apart you will see the little metal shield. pick it up and put it back the other way around.
original way (lhd):

new way (rhd):
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...eldgoodway.jpg
now reverse the process to reasemble the lights.
using the hotglue gun to reattach the lense to the backing.
now your ready to put them on your car and have fun.
i dont have any pics of them on the car as i dont get the car till next week...but i will add some once i get them on.
i know this isnt MAJORLY indepth...but it is a very easy job and what you have here is all you need to do it. i did it with no idea other than the temp and time in the oven and that i had to flip the shield.
plus i am crap at writing things. thats why i got straight D's in english and kept loosing marks in math for not showing workings.
goodluck.
EDIT:
2 quick additions.
i found when i went to put the HID globes in that they wouldnt go straight in.
i had to get a small round file and file a small bit off the bottom of the globe slot.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...iledforhid.jpg
photo isnt the best...but its only about 3x3mm files from the centre of the bottom of the slot.
then the globe goes in perfectly.
and secondly...here are some pics of them in using 6000k HID.

enjoy and good luck.
