eks came in cvt? i thought it was only later models and jazz?
If you rin sydney ask Hanny's performance they are generally quite good on price and service. (do a yellow pages check)
yep
the ek vti sedans came with cvt
more info for all of us lol. Ive driven auto ek sedans and they were auto like anything else :)
yeh its jus the vti sedan model. with the d16y5(vtec-e - hence the cvt) engine.
96-98ish.. i havent really seen many facelifted vtis but im guessing theyre teh same
very interesting - thats the ultra-economic engine that burns some exhaust @ the same time ? In the EG sedan too -
its the one that operates on 12valves from 0-2500/3000rpm.
then goes to 16v operation from 3000rpm onwards.
yeh i think it burns some exhaust gasses..
gets really crazy air/fuel ratios cos of the 12v operation.
i kno it uses the first and 2nd stages of the jdm d15b engine..
dunno if its in the eg. the vei model u mean?
took my car into the nearest ultratune coz 2 of the mechanics there used to work for honda...
they picked up a error code off the check engine light and says its showing a problem with the IDLE SPEED MOTOR...
does anyone know how much to get 1 replaced? so i can start getting money organised?
mum's jazz cvt seems a lil jerky also. when going really slow, and when u apply slightest throttle the gear engages more abruptly than it should. also sometimes on a hill when taking off, after i take my foot off the brake it rolls back a tiny bit, b4 the gear engages, and moves the car forward. you think this can be cured by a cvt recalibration?
recently had the fluid flushed by honda, seemed to help slightly but not that much.
thats exactly what mine is doing... but i think mine has a few other minor problems...
but get it checked out... i think the gears arent changing properly hence the roll back
