they are fine just so long as u no what ur doing. most people would install these kits are people who have never worked on turbos before.Quote:

used parts, but they're not gonna fail like a ebay turbo, and he's got an e-manage there FS aswell....

if you're gonna do a turbo kit, then upgrade some of the internals. www.fjdistributors.com have a vitara piston motor refresher type kit for $300 that will replace most of your factory parts with new ones, comes with a metal head gasket and 4 vitara negative dome pistons to handle boost pressure, as well as coming with water pump, new bearings, and all necessary gaskets. then its better if you stick to a good turbo kit, but the ebay kit is fine as long as you get the cast iron manifold, and new 'round' intercooler piping (the last ebay kit i saw claimed the piping was round, but it was shaped like a pentagon).
+ 1200 for injectors (from america less that $400 for RC 440cc) then tunning.Quote:

Just do the dodgy and get the guy to include a reciept for under 1000aud. Or get them to market it as a warrenty return. This was one thing i was really scared of, all the vendors or shops i talked to in australia emphasied that i would be hit, and hit hard.Quote:

That said, even if u get hit at customs, it works out alot cheaper then purchasing locally. Since vendors hear 99% of the time dont keep stock, you will have to wait for them to import it, clear it (as legally as the shop wants to do) and then ship it out too u... My advice is to cut out the middle man :)
Oh and to add, at the time, shipping costs ranged from 430USD to 270USD. the more expensive being with UPS the least being with USPS. USPS will always be your cheapest option, but sometimes OS vendors dont like using them because they sometimes lack quality assurance and are header to deal with incase of disputes.
