I wont get to into this topic but be assured that all 02 modelled onwards ES civics delivered to AU came out of Thai factory's. Check your vin no. as if built in Japan then the 17 digit vin will first indicate J. Thailand = M. Canada = 2. USA = 1. UK = S. These are the 5 main suppliers and fabricators for Honda Australia.
ok i will go take a photo of the compliance plate just to prove it, it is made in Japan.
ok i just checked my VIN, it says MRHES...
so i suppose you are right, it is made in Thailand?
geez all this time i thought it was Jap, but the quality of the car is that good it seems like its assembled in Japan!
my apologies, you are correct.
back to the original post, well it depends on what the buyer wants and obviously how much $ they have to spend
the 7th gen will be a newer car
the 6th gen EK was very popular, still heaps on the road and more body styles - hatch, sedan, coupe
if you are just planning to leave it stock then i would say get the 7th gen
but of course i would say that cause i own one :D
