hytech header - engine check light on ..02 sensor code

i got no idea what you are on about...

what has checking test equipment got to do with resetting the ecu?

in this case the ECU is your test equipment,its testing the system to make sure everything is present & functioning within spec.If its not it tells you that the test has failed.

u should always make sure your test equipment is reading correctly first before being lead off on some wild goose chase for no reason.

this could all just have been a case of someone switching on the ignition with the sensor not plugged in & the code is stored,simply reset ecu,problem solved.................get it????

u lose some low end power but can feel gains in the vtec range. All these based on butt dyno so yea no dyno figures to support my stand :)

just wondering how u find ur toda header? fitment shld be good from wad i heard from all toda users.

I'm experiening the same in our dc2r with the CEL after we installed Toda headers, though I havent checked what code it is due to the fact that the car still going good and I have learnt to ignore the CEL on the dash.

I have heard from a few ppl defective o2 sensor right after a new header install, I wonder if it's a case of wiring/wiring plug damage after handling or traces or oil and/or silcone on the inside of new headers from the factory that killed the sensor.
Just as well a new oe heated sensor is only going to cost me $70-80 so no biggie, assuming that's my problem.

the problem is the O2 heater.

pull the wiring connector apart off the sensor(the first one before the cat)

-make sure no dirt or whatever in both ends of the plugs & pins look like they go together well if put back together,leave them uncoupled

-on the engine harness plug side,check u have 12V with the ignition on/engine off on the yellow/black wire.

-on the sensor plug side, hold the plug so that the clip to hold the 2 plugs together is at the top when looking at it & measure between the bottom 2 terminals to see if there is about 20-30ohms,if good make sure neither of those 2 pins has any continuity to ground,if either does or ohms out of spec u need new sensor.

-lastly check the black/white wire on the engine loom plug side has continuity all the way back to the ECU A6 pin & is also not grounded.the wire changes colours on the way back to the ecu,dont let that throw u off.
