lol @ those instructions. What is that for, a 1985 DeLorean ? :p
The only thing you need to reset is the drivers auto-wind function:
Press the power window button down, wait for the window to go down, and hold for 3 seconds.
Press the power window button up, wait for the window to go up, and hold for 3 seconds.
Resetting the ECU wont change the speedo accuracy...
hm... confused...
.... who is right? or am i misreading anything?
I have reset my ECU a couple of times, its easy.
Open Bonnet
Disconnect Negative Battery terminal OR the backup Fuse.
Leave for 10 minutes (it takes less than a minute :p)
Reconnect the Battery or Fuse.
Re-calibrate the Drivers Window.
Thats it! :)
lol, i dont even need to reset drivers window.
what's the problem with the drivers window when reset? can't remember from top of my head.
does it mean you wouldnt have to start it up and let it idle for 10mins? after resetting?
so what about the drive and rev through the revs to enable the ecu to learn throughout the revs??? so i need to do that?
I didn't do all that, and mine is normal. It will progressively learn as you go.
Mines about the same as yours OP. I think it goes to about 104 (on gps) when I do 110 in the car.
a cop told me that majority speedos r meant to read 10% slower than what it shows so that pplz dont speed
you CANNOT resest the euros ecu like you can with old school ecus... it has an microchip for memory backup, so disconnecting power will not relearn idle procedures, or a/f maps, or your speedo... from factory the speedo is meant to read lower, as said by others, its a safety thing...
if you want to do an idle relearn, you HAVE to take yor car to a honda dealer/service specialist and get it connected to the PGM... or by one yourself for a couple thousand dollars...
all disconnecting the battery will do, is reset your auto window set up... and possibly your radio presets if you leave it off long enough (neither of mine have ever reset)
