I bought a silver '96 Civic Hatchback GLI ... two years ago. It had 117 *** on the odometer and they serviced the car and gave me a full 6 months rego plus the compulsory 3 months warranty from the dealer. I paid $13 500 for it, considering it had $17 500 painted on the dash. I still reckon we paid too much for the car considering a private sale would have been cheaper, my parent's didn't trust private sales and insisted I buy one from a dealer ... it was their money, so I'm not fussed. I haven't done much to the car, my Dad lowered it at one point, then took the springs out and made it stock again and I just popped a CD player in it :)
I bought a 96 ek 4 door sedan 2 years ago with 45,000km paid $20,000 i am thinking it was a bit to much now when u look at what there worth.
i forgot to mention it is a GLI but still payed to much for it i think, but i did but it from a honda dealer so that would explain it lol.
I got mine Civic 96 LXI with 75 XXX km on clock for 7000 hatchback:wave:
97 EK Coupe (d16y8), paid 14K almost a year ago.
Went over my budget a bit but its in perfect condition and only uses about 30 litres of BP Ultimate for 550k's.. guy I serviced it with said it's got the lowest emissions he's seen in a long time. Only had 105K on the clock when I got it, now at 130 and never even had a hiccup (except a dead battery).
Love them Civvy's :D
92 GL hatch. total stock n all electronics... mechanical A1. clocked 140Ks. paid 5.5k
1999 Honda Civic Coupe EM1
72,000km
Red
Custom Body Kit/Boston Speakers/Pioneer Head Unit/Full exhaust system/4-1 Headers/King springs/Custom Air Intake
Paid $18,500
Getting a 1996 VTi-R hatch in about a weeks time for approx $13800(will confirm later in the week) about 149,000km's on it.
Stock down to the cassette player and rims.
Recently detailed and looks immaculate(few dents and dings but thats caused by people who don't look when they open the door).
Good having a 65 year old sell it ;) Good man that guy, good man.
P.S. Hopefully I'll be happy with it as my first car :D
Edit: Picking up this Friday for $13,250 :)
I picked up a 94 GLi 3dr Hatch standard as with pwr steer. Cost me around $600 bucks, minor damage in the front end though fixed it up for around $550. still needs 2 new front gaurds though (another 2 hunge). Not a bad score i dont think. Since we got it insured for market value of $8000. :D
burn it, claim $8000 for it,Quote:

i bought my ek vti-r about 2 weeks ago for $9800 with 120,000km on the clock, one owner ,11 months rego. It is the best bargain i've ever got the only down side was several dings on the car, besides that the car was very clean.
Thats an awesome price.. Makes me feel like a rip off bastard asking more then that for my cxi... I guess I just have to hope I find someone who dosn't shop around ;)Quote:

bought my 94 EG5 VTi for $8350 bout 6 months ago. 100xxxkms, absolutely perfect paint and interior, aircon, alarm, otherwise stock.
12k is way too much for a VTi hatch unless its got like 25000kms on it and was shrink wrapped for the last 10 years..
I paid 5000 euro (around $4000) for it.
1.5L EK3 SOHC Engine
ELEC Window/Sunroof/mirrors
Lowered
75000 km on the clock
It's a Jap import, I got it right after it's driven off the ship :D
Paid $2500 for my EG Si with 170,000Kms on the clock. 2 prev owners with full Honda dealer service all the way. Immaculate interior, good tyres and 5.5 mths rego when I bought it. A few ripples on the panels and plenty of dings on the doors. Paintwork on the bonnet and front guards was badly faded and heavily stone chipped ( got the panels resprayed for $600 last week ).
Paid $2450 for a EG breeze 1.3 a mth prior to that which I thought was a good deal at the time but this is a pig of a car compared to my Si, 250,000Kms with no service history, plenty of prior crash repairs done badly and oil leaks.
i paid $15500 for my 96 civic vtir hatch 6 months ago it had only one female owner 6 months rego an was servived every 5000km by honda was dead straight an stock with all the usual extras plus dealer fitted cruise control

things sitting around : toda headers
things comin in next month: vision test pipe and metal cat, fujitsubo power getter cat back, Tien SS
94' GLi hatch with 130000 on the clock at the beginning of this year for 6k. only dislikes were the rear mid wing, and roof racks. and only probs is a really really slow oil leak and a leaking master cylinder.
was stock except for the exhaust, and front lip. car was well looked after.
i got my 1996 EK Vti Sedan oct last year. lowered 16" wheels, tint 45k on the clock for $10k even
I paid 10K for my '99 CXi which had just under 50K. Completly stock which was all good by me for the price! Bought it about a year and a half ago now, and it just clocked over to 60k :) It did come with very dark tinted windows which looks great on a black car!!
So far I've installed a front lip, clear side indicators, adjustable coil-over's, remote central locking with alarm and immobiliser, JVC CD/MP3 player and JL Audio 6x9's. Awaiting to be installed are halo headlights, front Grille, rear lip, and fog lights!
i paid 14,000 for my 1996 ej8 civic coupe vti in december 2004. it has mugen intake, headers + new cat + crappy exhaust. front and rear lips and not a single stratch or dent with 85,000 on the clock-o-metre.
i thought this was a predominantly aussie site lol~
mine was $30k on road for 2006 civic vti-l in auto with spoiler.
I think i may have the cheapest civic here. 92 civic Si $2000. 300400km... in need of new gearbox (makes a funny sound at low speed)... although now at 322000, the gearbox hasn't got any worse!
I paid €5000 for a 96 EK3 VTI (SOHC), 75000Km on the clock, Jap import, elc windows/mirrors/sunroof
92"EG4 GL 250,000km , 16"rims, 12 mths rego, basic little system, other little mods
$3000
1992 White EG sedan...180xxx on the clock..needs a new rear bumper...$3000 with 12mnths rego...
97 GLi hatchback 17xxxx on the clock, $6750 last week. Still good condition confirmed by RAC. how"s that deal??
manual 96 EK VTi.. 47,000 kmz on da clock. (now 53,000 kmz) Completely legit. kms.
