Euro is a safe car, I agree, but in the hands of an inexperienced driver, anything can happen. Oversteer is one thing, understeer is another, and the Euro has plenty of the latter.
Hot into the corner, late braking due to misjudgement, turn, understeer, plough gutter. I guess you have to be going pretty fast to do that, but I mean for a male, P platers, car enthusiest....who can tell?? I know half of my friends were total maniacs when they were fresh on P's (including myself :P). Luckily all of them are still alive and pretty tame and safe drivers now.
Just out of curiosity Buster, whereabouts are you located?
heeh... nice point been putted :D damn the MDX didn't come with manual option or otherwise i will just telling my dad to buy manual one...don't misunderstood me~ my dad drives the MDX all the time... but luckily i do get chance to drive it... :DQuote:

sorry if its a bit off topic...
you know what..buy an auto or a manual ..whatever.......just go get it and be happy its for free.....as far as anyone here is concerned you could be speaking a big load of crap cos i dont see why someone would buy his son a 35k plus car when he hasnt got his license yet..but if its true good luck to ya but i would much rather talk about african elephants being ridden by albanian midgets.
no offence, but it happens all the time, and it can be WAY more than 35kQuote:

http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/wheels_m...173&mag_id=104
would like aweosme in 18".
Defintiely go for something along those lines man. Nothing bigger than 18 tho i dont think.

the euro is a great car, and you do see alot of young asians driving them, at the end of the day the most important thing is your driving skills not the car, i will say this now you will have accidents even when you drive like a granny they are unavoidable, so practice practice until your comfortable...i love the euro :D and good luck with your new car.
i was thinking about lower the car a bit is well, just a bit... what u think?? right now, i been thinking about the Arctic Blue, cos i see the graphite everywhere...Quote:

coming from a country where almost everyone start to drive at 15 or 16 years old, i dont see a 20years old australian have more experience than me..
$0.02
So when will u pick up ur ride??
I suggest to take it easy to start with. I used to be a crazy driver when I first got my license. I used to think I am invincible, Scheumacher the 2nd.... Not util I attend a defensive driving course. I realised how bad I was. So strongly recommanded for everyone. young /old..
what colour did you choose again? (too lazy to scroll through the pages).
That rims look nice... if your car is black or grey, definitely go for shadow.
Yea lowering is always good on a euro, in my opinion enhances the looks heaps.Quote:

Artic blue is a really good colour  i think they would look good with those dark metallic sort of rims aswell.
if your going blue i'd reccomend the full euro-R kit and some 5 or more spoke dark metallic rims in 18" and a drop.
ie. LOC888's ride but blue and with darker rims - would look cool
yeah agreed would be sa weetQuote:

he's pretty young and with nice rims, body kit etc. i think a more vibrant colour has the potential to look great on the euro.
I'll post a pic of a reall nice blue one if i can find it.
Dark and more "classic" colours like silver really do suit the car tho (totally agree with coladuna there) and would be a great choice too- given the right mods can look down right nasty too in black
ie.

an evil tsx from the states.
I think its hard to go wrong with the euro.
Most of the euro I see on the road are either graphite or black. Too common, almost like Taxi yellow. I personally like the Fridge color (the white fridge)
Ya i guess ur right... i dun think i ll suit black that much plus the interior is also really important to me too... black = ivory.... i hate that... so i guess blue wif euro r, is the way for me. :DQuote:

Australia deaths in 1997 in vehicles - 1768
South East Asia road deaths in 1998 - 118,608
Somehow I think Asian countries have more fatalities. Are you looking at some sort of weird "per km" travelled figure or something.
ALSO one more question "this one is for my relative"!!!
My aunti drives Honda Accord Euro '03 Luxury... she wanted me to find out some info about GPS... she was just wonderin is it possible to add GPS nav, to the car??
No factory GPS available for the Euro in Australia - not yet anyway. I would not be surprised to see this as an option soon. You need to get an aftermarket GPS - they are cheaper and some are portable which is handy.Quote:

if you take a look at the link above, Australia have a population of around 20mil and Southeast asia have around 505mil..taking the figures from your post and do some maths Australian death toll is 0.1% of the total population and Southeast asian death toll is 0.02% of the total population..

CASE CLOSED!Peace there..
Alrighty....
Mr Sonic has made his decision, I think this discussion has gone far enough (Going off track at times LOL and recently LOL), he got his car, had his say, we had ours, if there is nothing to add to it... This will pretty much be the end of it....
thanks guys :wave:Quote:

I've got friends who's parents got them a bmw when first got their licence, they're sooo bad and irresponsible... bloody spoiled!... they all talk i want this and this (expensive cars and stuff)... but i'm more then happy just buying a Euro for myself!
btw, congrats on ur purchase!

Is this thread with the same 'parents buying kids cars' argument that has been done to death on every car forum since the dawn of the internet past it's expiry date ? = check.
