I like the idea of an actual stock engine ( no bolts ons etc) and see what it can do :thumbsup:
We manage to pull 14.000 with our Stock ITR motor, we had a hondata ECU s200 tuned. 14.1 still good effort.
so 14.01 is a good effort for stock ECU and the rest :)
Dont mind me asking what improvement if at all did the tune have (compared to stock ECU)
Not much gains up top 2-3kw) but heaps of more torque mid-range which i like for normal street driving. Dont need the rev that high for gear changes.
yeah i like to see how my can go with someone else driving it as my mate is lighter than fly s*#t. and as for me, well waggy can vouch for me 14.6 isn't to bad for someone who wiegh's 140kg (poor lil civic) lol.
hmm...i was just wondering, if an EG can max out 5th gear at the point where it reached the 400m end mark, how fast is it??
Its impossible unless you change the gearing. But whats the point tho.. you are wasting your time shifting into 5th.

So, one more Q...How much time can be gain just by changing 1st to 5th Close ratio Gears?? Assuming having a Std ITR with Full exhaust and Intake runs a 14.00sec...

i beat a few boosted cars @ the 1/4. It is a different ball game on the track compared to the street

i ran 14.2 @95mph 2.01 60ft with m/t et street radial i think i done an engine mount as the car was traping really bad on the last run. some very unhappy ppl.
the commentator gave me some sh&t over the mic my first run was up against a 33gtst as we were lining up his mates were laughing at my car saying things like why bother bringing a stock car to the drags, one of them even cam over and told me that i should pack up and go home b4 i embarress myself. as we staged i decided to worm the tyres yp in 2nd. DAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM it sat there for a while and when drove through the water it just kept spinning al the way to line. as we left the lights i launched at 5000rpm and rode the clutch abit and when v-teck kicked in it was all over i just pulled away from him and even cherpt 3rd. and that was my fist run which was 14.6 @90mph. so i'm very happy cant wait for S300 ecu and cams.

I gota launch at 2500 to 3000 over that and i spin too much..
Id be real happy with 60fts like urs my best ever in my EG is 2.385..
2.0 and 2.1s would get me 13s easy..

i have tien super street with the EDFC 7kg front and 4kg rear but i'm looking at changing the front to the rear and putting 9kg in the front.
i was running mickey thomson et streets too which are good.
I did launch @ 7000rpm it and very aggressive but i did get a 1.92 60ft and i think the clutch is to replaced if i go again was going to be a good time but i went 1st to 4th gear.
with the suspention i can rais the arss end a bit and with that i found that the weight transfer isnt that bad to me it feels like the weight of the car stays over the fron wheels.
the car can go much quicker but as i am a very heavy person (over 140kg)
my mate ran when it was steet tyres and stock headers he ran 14.4 all night. and weighs about 75kg.

me and a mate did 13.12 sec @105.66mph, 1.9 60ft. It was on an EG, stripped, stock B18C with Spoon cams and 20x8 slicks.
14.4 today in approximately 35 degree track temps ...
Shitty 195 street tyres, fat bastard driver at 85 kgs, stock headers, no tuning, partially stripped with full cage ...
Have semi slicks that need to go on and will get some VAFC tuning and see how we go again, but looking forward to taking it out to circuit more then doing a lower ET :)

bet the slicks made the biggest difference...
From what ive heard slicks by themselves should reduce your ET by .5 - 1.00 second
Anyway get into the 12's with a stock bottom end and thats great :)

generaly 1st 2nd 3rd im in par with most cars running lows but as soon as engage 4th they go past me...
thats my point tho lol - slicks would have to make 0.5-1.0 second difference on that setup :P Methinks a ecu and other bits are involved. Post a slip !
Locote , incase you havent got it , upgrade your FD to atleast a 4.7 from say the 98+ ITR gearbox. A LSD unit too incase you dont have it will work great. The 3/4/5 gearset is a great mod but id rather do the FD if you have a normal dc gearbox
I agree. A final drive change to 4.7 like was mentioned will make a huge difference to your ET. IMO this is one of the first mds that should be done if striving for low ET's. It is one of the best cost v ET reduction mods you could ever make.
never dynoed the engine before but internaly engine was stock except the spoon cams,toda header, car is absolutely stripped (no heater box etc, only a dash inside), open header and no filter. ECU was using chrome ecu made by Modproject, and ofcourse a 4.7 lsd box..thats all..but yeah the slicks actually helps lots tho.
it's actually possible when u fully stripped it cos before this eg, my eg5 with same spec engine only stripped seats, with a/c p/s, toda header and catback, 4.4box with lsd did 13.5sec...
this was done while ago at one of EXE drag day so i guess there'd be more than 100 people witnessed it :) however Yonas will post the slip soon as I dun know how to post it lol

i ran today my first time on the track did a 14.1 and my 60ft was 2.63 95.85mph i really need to practice but i guess first time was ok
i have a b18cr eg with intake exhaust and headers and i stripped the interior

Same setup just changed the my CAI
nah its still untuned been meaning to get a comp but no funds yet. and i think alot of the reason of wheelspin might be the tyres and bushings. hopefully next time i can get better times.

today i launched at 4k to 5k i got a lightweight flywheel its dam hard to keep it steady...
And rode the clutch a little then pop...
got a bit of wheels spin, a LOTS of axle tramp!!!!

Id be quite confortable in saying that my EG as is now would take out a S15 with 3inch exhaust, on factory boost.
I managed 13.9 in my S15 with cat back @ 97mph.

how can ju guys get low 14sec????? i have a EG3 b18c non R, no rear seat and spare wheel, cf bonnet and boot, exhaust and standard header, 17' rims, intake and afc neo not tuned, aem fuel rail and fuel pressure reg., yet the best i could do was 14.77sec at WA motorplex. how the hell u guys all getting low 14sec to high 13sec with basic mod?????????
my 60 ft time was 2.4sec. i have no ideas!~!~!~!~1`
get smaller rim, get good tyres, and go nuts! Make sure you get good mods and not the cheap knock off boltons
