Awsome DIY, this method worked like a charm. Only thing i did different was screw the arm rest back in instead of using megapoxy. to simonnowis

if its CXI, do i need to take the window winder off, if so how?
There should be a pin between the winder and the door panel... jus use a flat head to push it out...
thanks!
hey mate great diy, i have started it an im up to step 7, im using epoxy bond but it aint the paste.
im havin trouble putting the arm restback onto the door panel
could someone please help me:D
i can get it on there but i cant get the epoxy bond 2 stick
screws + washers are your friend
ok ill give that ago then ill post up some pics once i get it back on.
cheers:D
any luck?
yeah theres a couple ways with putting it back u can do the epoxy way, or screws and also can use cable ties, i will upload some pics tomoz:D
Im sure you can find megapoxy or similar at bunnings etc. Normally the thick 2 part adhesives are the strongest. on mine even when the adhesive eventually detached from the armrest it acted as a stopper and didnt budge at all. Washers and screws are a good but if someone is really rough with the arm rest theres a chance of it coming out or broken off.
If i was to do it again i would use screws+washer and some strong adhesive like liquid nails etc, in the end if u do want to take it off, unscrewing it would break it off from the adhesive anyway. (thats provided u didnt go crazy and apply glue all over the place lol)
i did the leather but it was a bit thick so got a wrinkle

guys need help getting the material :S
around West Sydney!!
nice work brother... easy to understand and good finish... where can i get this fabric (red suede) same as yours from and how long does it take to do all up...???
I bought it from an asian fabric store in cabbra on john st (I think?), but Iv seen a wide range of suede material at spotlight in that megacentre on parra rd, cant remember what kind of red they had but I was after black. Doesnt have to be exactly same, as long as the material isnt too thick it will turn out fine.
that's cool., i gonna do the same things
nice works, really...
but i still can't find any red suede in Melbourne... even lincraft, spot light can't find it..
any other fabric store i can go for ??
