lol dreaming. In summer they go crusty in like 2 months.
Go back a page, couple of guys said you need to cut the aunger ones to length for the 06

Can someone with an old pair of 2006-2008 wiper blades in their garage just go and pull it apart and measure? If Aunger ones fit in the low profile wipers, then a PIAA one would as well! Measure measure measure!
I actually bought Aunger, and cut it.
The problem is that Aunger includes two parts for one piece of refill (base plastic support and rubber insert). Rubber will not be fit in without base support, but the rubber would be higher with base. In this circumenstance, I found the rubber could not wipe windscreen perfectly .
Sorry about the poor quality photo. This is a photo of the driver and passenger side wipers from my '08 Euro (build '07). Both blades are the same width (6mm) and profile. Length is 650mm driver, 375mm passenger.
They are quite simple to remove. Just peel back the rubber at one end and slide the blade out, if you look closely at the photo you can see I have done that to take the photo.
That's very similar to the 03-05 blades, except that the middle strip is much much wider. The 375mm in 6mm width is easy to get, but finding 650mm in 6mm width will be difficult. Aftermarket 650mm length refills are almost always 8mm in width. Those Trico or Aunger universal refills with both 6 and 8mm width might fit.
Just bought a pair of universal fit(6mm/8mm) 710mm inserts and cut them to fit my 07 Euro. Works fine. Paid $10 for them from Super Cheap Auto.
Now to put some RainX on and I'm ready for the rainy season ahead.
Is RainX really worth it? Just a question.
just bringing this thread back up. anyone tried using a 24" blade/frame whatever it is on the driver side? lol 26" are hard to find these days
can i get dealer to replace my wipers. cuase mine dont wipe very cleanly can i say its a warranty issue
bosch aerotwin, usually sell for $30ea, so its $60 for a pair, but super cheap had a runout on them a few months back for $3ea, and now supercheap carry their own brand trindon or someshit, very similar to the bosch, they are charging about $25 or something.
alternatively, get the ones by x3e as they r very similar as well
i run those blades on every car i have owned for the past few years, its makes driving in the rain enjoyable
searched this thread and other related thread but no luck...what's the length of the short wiper blade for the 03-05 model?
Thanks Aaron...always very helpful
Repco sell their own version of the Bosch Aerotwin wipers and they are on sale at the moment. Buy one get one free so $30 for both! I just bought a set and the quality is pretty good and way better than the similar Trico ones at Supercheap. It's called Repco 'Hydroblade'.
For the 03-05 euros, make sure you buy the 400mm (16") and 660mm (26") ones.
over 4 years of owning my euro, i've yet to find any aftermarket wiper refills to fit the damn euro.
everything is 610mm (24") in length...2 inches too short for the driver's side wiper blade. we need at least 650mm (26")
i found some 710mm (28") trico brand refills going for about $13-14 at supercheapauto...which is great since we can cut it down to size. BUT, the bottom part of the refill is 7.5mm wide (stock euro is 6mm).
does anyone know if these 7.5mm wide ones would fit? i'm leaning towards 'no', but i'm not gonna waste money just to try it.
OEm honda wiper rubber refills are only about 20 bucks /side
$20 each side? so $40 in total? that's why i want to buy aftermarket ones.
maybe if i was sh!tting gold i'd buy everything from the stealership.
anybody have recommendations for 06 euro.
I want to buy from autobarn or repco
looks like dealers are asking $34 now..
I wanna get the silicon ones on the Graphite like the ones they use for OEM... I'm sick and tired of using RainX every 2 weeks on the windscreen! GAY!
can anyone confirm if we can squeeze 8mm wide wiper refills into the 2006-2008 euros?
there are 710mm wipers available but only in 8mm wide ones.
Wen U find out please let me know!!!
lol i was hoping someone who had 8mm wide wipers somewhere could try...
i don't want to waste money just in case it doesn't fit.
anybody using the repco branded wipers?
I'm after a model number or some info!
t.i.a
Yeah I'm using the Repco ones - Hydroblade or whatever they're called. Paid $40 for the pair.
I've only had them on for about a month so I can't comment on their lifespan, but they seem to work well, no complaints so far.
hmmm, interesting, guess it will be a while before we find out if they last longer than oem ones.
I recall reading somewhere somebody got a repco pair for $8 or something but I couldnt find the post
I tried with a 26" PIAA 8mm, doesnt fit no matter how hard I try.
i still find it odd that these wiper manufacturers haven't made 26" wiper refills! esp. considering how many new cars now have a long ass wiper arm.
anyway, i just cleaned my windscreen....then applied auto glym glass polish....then some rainx. i tried doing a 'dry' wipe with the wipers and it seemed to move across the windscreen very smoothly with no shudder (these are with my old wiper rubbers too).
just need a rainy day to really test it.
can anyone tell me how long rainx lasts after you apply it? and how much do u apply to the windscreen?
I spent the whole day looking for my CL9 "06 rubber blades and was unsuccessful. I went to autobarn, supercheap auto, autoxcel and repco. I ended up going to Warwick Farm Honda parts and found them there. Here are the prices. drivers side $15.94 and passenger side $14.25 = $33.20 I was willing to pay this price because i had stripped the original ones. =( Hopefully this will go the distance.
Will the 06 wipers fit the 04 euro model???? Also $33.20 was that for refills or the whole new blade?
Aren't the 06 wipers like the current civic wipers like better quality?
RainX + Bosch Aerotwin = pwnage
06 wont fit the 04 and vice-versa.
The width of the blades are wider in the 06+.
Is it some super rubber? How's it performing haha geee...
if you look at the manual for the 06 or later models, it instruct you to slide the rubber out and put in the new rubber refills
Bosch has to be the best i ve used so far, exactly oem quality too
Trico was really good oem but dont think they still sell?
One i bought few months ago and still running really well are Tridon or some brand like that at Autoone, they use Valeo rubber inserts (so high quality stuff).
Tried repco one and they were crap......returned them and they guy at Repco said why did u buy them they are so bad i will refund them to you (where as i actually went to get them exchanged as it was missing a whole centre spot in the middle of the windscreen!)
Nah, it's just superbranded rubber. Overpriced OEM stuff. Those with an 03-05 are in luck because they can use the PIAA silicone wiper inserts which last a looong time and also leave a waterbeading film on the glass so you don't need RainX. For those with the 06 onwards, it is a bit more difficult.
I just picked up a set of 3M branded wipers while I was on a trip to Taiwan. Looks like the original 03-05 wipers (includes the metal bits up to the hook).
hey, Would changing the wiper blades on the CU2 the same as changing them on the FD civic?
Mann i had the car for about 3 weeks and i already have lines on the wipers~~
mine is still the stock 06 rubber and start to judder... but once I clean the rubber its okay, looking for silicone ones, and boy or boy, they can last, previous set in another car overseas have em like for 10 years.... and the car was park under the sun most of the time, tropical weather.
I think silicone got better uv resistance compare to rubber
these are the tridon ones you can get from any supercheap
TCP2428-2 Wiper Refill Plastic - Combo Pack 6.5mm & 7.5mm 610mm (24") & 710mm (28") 2
these will fit the euros as they have a wider and longer wiper for the drivers side. just cut them to length AFTER you install them. I worked at SCA for 4 years and did many euro's, including my own, these'll be fine.
So these will fit the 07 Euros as well? There are so many comments on this thread, it's hard to sift through the ACTUAL information needed to get replacement wiper refills for my Euro. Cos from what I understand the earlier Euros have different width wipers compared with the later ones.
Just really need to know, which brand wiper refills fit my 07 Euro and where I can get them from, locally or imported.
just go outside and mesure, if your drivers side is 7-7.5mm wide and less than 710mm long and your passenger side is 6-6.5mm wide and like then 610mm long they will work.
NOTE: these will only work for wipers with a refill system, wipers with an 'Aerotwin' or 'Flexblade' system will not suit.
Your other option is to buy a set of wiper arms so you will only need the 6mm refills from then on.
I posted a few months ago here about how I put in some Repco Hydroblades (or whatever they call them).
They lasted about 2 months before they started squeaking when the windscreen is dry (or just a tiny bit of water), and leave streaks now... So yeah, wouldn't recommend them considering how expensive they are...
so whats the wipers i use for CU2 euro? and where do i get them from? besides dealer.
Im not sure if the CL model wipers will work on cu2.
went to call a few stores. non have cu2 wipers.
autoone suggested i get those new mounts + wiper blades.
so its $45 for the new mounts.
then $14 everytime i want to replace the wiper blades.
but i like the oem mounts. it has this earo dynamic looking thing on it.
I've gone thru 2 setsof replacement rubbers, they don't seem to fit or work very well, so I've given up and just ebay'd a new set of wipers off eBay, so far they worked pretty well. And it only cost $25 or something(http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/vi...d=320671415702)
Go to repco I got 710mm for $4 and worked perfectly dont buy the ones from the pack you can get them in singles. I know they are diff widths too one is 8mm the other is 6mm not sure which side is which
I've gone through this thread a couple of times but am a little confused...
I have a 2006 accord euro. Where can I get aftermarket wiper blades which fit my car? Just the rubber inserts...
Thanks!
Hi Guys
I have a V6 Honda Accord Luxury 2008 - What wiper size will I need and other than OEM where else can I purchase from?
Cheers
Just want to add. I've put on my Bosch Aero Twin blades on, and they work great. Only thing is they seem to be a bit taller than OEM. What this means is while with the OEM blades, they stay low and aren't visible above the bonnet line, the Bosch ones are. Not so good for aerodynamics then.
I went to autobarns to ask about which ones i needed, they said we hondas need like 7-7.5 inches or something, i dont remember if it was inches or cm but yeah they said hondas decided to have different size which makes it alot harder haha
I buy mine from Supercheap Auto: Tridon MCP2428-2 Wiper Refills for the Pre-FL 05 Euro.
I use Tridon Flexblade on my wife's CU2.. they work really well.. no squeaks, no streaks.
