Sorry my response about the TEIN's was directed at brightboyfree.
Do you have any other specs on the Modulo gear? Where abouts did you get the price from?
you can try Showa with OBK springs
it is comfortable and sporty
Showa is the one who made all Honda OEM parts plus all mugen and spoon suspension are made by Showa too
dunno if you guys have heard this or not but you OEM shockers are Showa so quality is not an issue
they may cost $1800 landed which is not cheap
or u can try tein coilover as they is not much choice
i'm looking for the MOdulo specs myself. i understand that it *cannot* be fitted on 2004 jazz, only the 2003 Jazz or earlier. something to do with a different position of the arm (?). bummer.Quote:

i'm curious to know .. how does your Tein SW feel when driving through crappy roads like parramatta road - do you feel every bump?
Yeah man every bump along parra road, but then most cars will feel everything on parra rd, but it's not like a huge shudder ot jolt or anything. It's actually quite controlled. I've been in stock cars that sound worse and handle it a lot worse than my car.
BTW, I get the suspensions kit from hongkong........it's around AUD$1000 but bring it yourself from hk... :cool:Quote:

any info re your KYB shocks too?
OBK, KYB, RSR ..
i got the info in a HK mag
but showa made good shocker as OEM parts also made by them
OBK is just a normal brand for suspension but for the price is not too bad
my KYB... i still waiting for my kg/mm springs to come... i want to try this combo as well asap... hope i can get u a review asap for u
Showa with OBK springs!? ppls said shit
oic. i guess that's a headache - mix & match shocks and dampers to find the best combo. expensive exercise.
maybe obk springs are not good
but showa is quality stuff.......
yes..Quote:

is it all up to you
but let me know when the shocker die...
ummm.. you should find out if the waranty is voided.. by speaking to ur honda dealer.. then if u r in sydney.. Tempe Tires lowere cars for i fink $450 not sure but some where in that mark..
Not the warranty issue AGAIN!
Tempe is GHEY!!!
so Tanabe springs sucks with the stock shocks????
no
but depends if u want to damage yr OEM shockers
i don't think it's so much that Tanabe sucks, I'm sure it doesn't.
It's just a fact that the stock shocks & springs are matched. and if you replace the stock spring with any other spring, that's a good way to lower your car but the stock shocks are probably working harder now and don't be surprised if it fails prematurely.
some people say that will happen in 1 yr or 2 .. me, I would like to keep an open mind.
by then, you can probably get a set of aftermarket shocks, like Showa or something. but again, there's different permutation involved in matching the shocks to the springs.
ALTERNATIVELY .. get coil-overs that have shocks & springs that are "made for each other" :D in addition to having different damping/height adjustability. ALSO .. you can keep your stock shocks & springs.
JUS-10: Say .. do you know what's the difference between the Tein Wagon and your SW? is it just the Wagon lacking the shocks' damping adjustability?
Yeah the SWs have dampening adjustment. The regular wagons are sooo soft.
The SWs can't really be compared to the other models in the Tein range ( HAs for eg.) as they all ride like a rock even on the softer settings. You can make the SWs pretty damn firm, but they also offer a pretty complacent ride if you want. Most people say Jap coilovers are rockhard, but these are nothing like that. The ride quality seems to be more comparible to the Biltein coilovers that I had previously - comfy when you need it, and racey when you feel like some spirited driving as opposed chosing between hard or very f*ckin hard
yes man
those coilover is not for a passenger car as no one want to sat on my ride with those sussy
lol
IMO, i prefer get aftermarket shockers to go with yr springs
match or not is not a BIG deal if u are not after serious track, it is enough and ride will be more comfort
Anyone know a good cheap place in Syd to get tein springs???
z's house
???
Z in is in Sydney and is from the JDMyard clan.....he can hook you up
can i get his email or some type of contact please :)
or email zitian@iprimus.com.au
Get air suspension... i might get it soon... because my cars low and i need to plan how to get to one distinantion to the other and it sucks... westside melb has to many pot holes and un-even roads >.<
^ well done on digging up a 3 1/2 yr old thread
LOL... i didn't see the date of the thread my bad
Hey mars_panas where did you get your carbon bonnet? I'm interested in picking up one for my jazz, but can't really find one atm.
LOL. so here goes on digging another 2 year thread on top of 3 n 1/2 year.
I got Skunk2 Coilovers, they are stiff as! but it's good you can adjust them. When i first got it my ride was bumpy as hell.. felt like riding a cargo..
totally not comfortable but the handling was like 200% better then stock. Later on i did some readjustment so the ride can be abit more soft and
enjoyable, what i did was lessen the shocks so that the there's a good balance between the shocks and the springs. Before the shocks was at
it's highest, that's why the ride was so bumpy because the springs barely did anything, it was almost purely just shocks. Now it's alot more smoother
and softer on the road... Skunk2 is abit more for extremist.. haha but the handling oh wow... haahha and i dropped it pretty low so no body roll :p
as said before, no such thing as too low. hehe :p
ok guys lets get this going again.
im looking over all the comments on ozhonda about jazzs and lowering them.
i see that a lot of people have got teins super contact blah blah... but im all new to this.
i want to lower my jazz for the looks but also for a bit better handling and as you said, less body roll.
WHAT SHOULD I BUY!?
ouch, get some springs if its mainly for looks. people say you wear your shocks out faster if you just replace them with shocks but i haven't had any issues on any of my cars yet. (just me tho)
springs, you can get anywhere from 200-400 buck where as coilovers are 1k+ but handles a lot better
imo, if its just for looks, go with springs
I lowered my jazz after owning 2 weeks. I got tein s tech. It cost 300 delivered from the states. Quite comfy and good handling. Looks awesome too. I think is an awesome spring
whered you grab them from?
I heard installing just springs can wear out your shocks more quickly? Would it be better to just save up and buy myself some coilovers?
It will wear out stock shocks, but if its shocks thats designed to handle lowered springs like skunk2's it will be okay.
Yes invest in coilovers, its worth it.
what you guys think of the t1r lowering springs?
hey guys i'm thinking of getting the Tein S-tech springs for my jazz vtis 07' and i'm currently running on 15"x7 offset +45 rims. I normally drive 3 other ppl in the morning = 4 ppl in the car, will the springs be able to support this much weight after lowering without rubbing? its pretty much around 60km/h driving to uni in the city area..so wun be going v.fast..thanks for ur replies in advance
@kl85
my GD is lowered and i have 15x7 + 35, 195/50 and i rub slightly over bumps w/ no one in the back seats. so i'm gonna guess you're gonna get some/lots of rubbing. but you do have 45 offsets which might help it, ionos
@kenz_
t1r, tein & swift get a lot of good reviews. but moreso the teins n swifts so i'd say go for them if you have the option to over the t1r
Hi ivanh, if it rubs, will rolling the guards help? My car looks weird unlowered haha...
my 2005 VTiS GD is running 15x7 +40mm enkei's and running Kings spring, (they only come in lows, so only like 2/3inch lower), no rub, no issue, stock shock, car's done 180,000km+. Rides great, handing improvement was obvious
Will be interesting to see how it holds up once i get it back from getting it turboed :)
ss-rotel, can u post pics :)
I highly rate the Tanabe DF210 springs. Pictures of it when I still had my Jazz.

Whats the stock spring rate on the GD3 jazz anyway?
what do you guys think about eibach pro-kit springs? any good?
I'm thinking of getting the pro kit as well, JDM yard currently out of stock... Read a lot of good reviews on the pro kit on how its a very comfy ride and the improvement on handling (more detail on fitfreak).
Anyone know the part number for the eibach pro kit for GD?

ebay is ur friend :)
thank you master
