Is that with the oil cooler installed?
Mine is like 90c for street driving and 100c on the highway without any cooling mods. Oil: 5w40 Synpower.

Thats without oil cooler installed. I'm also using that exact oil and weight; oil temp reading at the oil filter sandwich plate. I wanted an oil cooler cause i thought it was abit high as i do alot of highway driving and recently got a JRSC, but that means i'll also have to relocate my sensors for my oil temp and pressure gauge.
I've also got an aftermarket tegiwa radiator which i'm not sure if its cooling any better than the oem, but when the car is off and when I turn it on after about an hour i notice the temps drop pretty fast.
That's pretty cool temps imo.
Both me and my bro's ep3 measure the same temp in the same conditions. Although both have the same type/brand of oil temp sensor.
The K20A has a small heat exchanger located at where the oil filter is mounted and cools the oil using the engine coolant. Therefore upgrading the radiator will help cool the oil indirectly although not any where as effective as a proper oil cooler.

Btw, have you sorted out the pressure drop from 28 to 21psi which you posted about sometime in 2012?
Yeah, I noticed last night driving and it was really cool and rainy and my oil temps were around 76 degrees on the highway at 3.7k rpms and even after doing lots hard runs and red line pulls it didn't even go over 80 degrees, usually it'll be around 85+. My coolant was also alot cooler at 60 degrees. Also recently installed an injen cai which sits behind the right the hole on the mugen lip and did the throttle body coolant bypass to reduce the IATs. haha im keen for winter
As for the oil pressure, it now sits around 28-32psi. I think it was my oil pressure sender on its way out since after a month later it started fluctuating like crazy.
60c for water temp is pretty cold haha. Not sure if that' ok or not because as far as I know ideally it should be sitting around 80-90c for operating temp.
Would you have an aftermarket thermostat installed by any chance?
Any of you EP3 boys got a spare flywheel?
Nah oem thermostat, on idle it goes up to 80-85 degrees, it was a really cold and rainy day so that might have cooled the aluminum radiator a lot maybe
Has anyone tried mounting something similar to a STI vlip on ep3 under mugen lip? rather scrape up a cheap abs plastic lip than cracking the fibreglass mugen. dont want to use that tacky garage door seal shit
strong logic in this one
Not with the Mugen but I did it for the Airwalker for the EXACT same reason LOL.

You always have to experiment if you are the first. Just take a chance like I did
Looks sick man!
Anyone know if s2000 injectors fit the k20? Injector dynamics and deatchwerks have them as the same part no
Hi guys...can anyone confirm if our abs module has a bleeder valve?
Ive recently just started putting my car back together after 6 months of being off the road getting built and Im in the process of bleeding my brakes.
From what I've read, most abs pump module has bleed valve on it but from what the US site mention...98 and up integras and civics dont have a bleeder valve.
If thats true....then do I just bleed it as per normal?
Hey guys, just making sure the Primary O2 sensor is actually my issue before I hit the go button on fleabay.
Can anyone confirm that fault code 41 = Primary O2 sensor is rat5hit?
Sorry DaRKNT, i had a look but i cant find it anymore. I must have thrown it out along with the clutch.
Hi everyone,
Over the last few weeks, my suspension has been making a "clunk" sound when I drive over something that's uneven (eg. driveways, fast changes in road height). The sound was coming from the front driver's side wheel - that went away about a week ago. The same kind of sound is now coming from the rear driver's side wheel.
Has anyone ever encountered this sound? If so, what was making the sound? Thanks in advance :)
Hey guys my engine mounts have just gone wondering where the cheapest place is to buy them is?
Rhdjapan is where I got my mugen mounts
Mugen mounts for $330aud deliver. That's good!
Are you on stock or aftermarket suspension? I'd have a poke around and check for leaks, split boots, the condition of your trailing arm, tie rods and swaybar bushings. Maybe try lift the car up in the air and see if you can simulate the sound by moving the wheel in different directions
Might as well go hardrace full set of 4 for $420 on ebay (can probably find cheaper from US). They're not stiff enough though imo
rhd is very fast, should be like a week or so
Yup rhd was pretty quick. I wanted close to stock as possible so went mugen.
Anyone got one of these? Its Broadway 300mm convex wide rear view mirror. Any feedback? I've purchased yesterday so waiting for it to arrive
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=171178552326
300mm perfect size for ep3, can still use both sun visors. I got the flat one, pretty useless lolol all i can see extra is the pillars. recaros would still block the rear quarter windows even if it was wider
Get a wink mirror and you'll never have to worry again lol
Wink mirrors are crazy big.. A bit too much if u ask me :)
Just wondering, what kind of times have you guys gotten at Winton?
Also has anyone tried RE050A's at the tracks? Any good?
EP3's at winton are starting at 1:40.xx and slower from there
anyone know where i can find a fuel filter for the in-tank fuel pump?
tegiwaimports was cheapest for the fuel filter. i think was like 20 or 30 delivered a few months ago. otherwise get jesse streeter hook you up from honda jp
Cheers, Tegiwa only sells the fuel vapour filter. I'm actually after the fuel pump pre filter, it's like this sock cloth thing lol upgrading to a bigger fuel pump but for some reason it didn't come with a new filter..
Honda doesn't stock it as a replacement part either unless I buy the whole fuel pump assembly :(
Jdm concept sells them.
Just got my mirror and fits pretty well, visors are still usable but not to fold all the way back but that's not an issue. You can see everything including blindspots (recaro's aren't blocking)... haven't used it on the road yet, but it'll probably take some getting used to considering images are closer than they really are.
Anyone here run the Buddy club short shifter? Worth them feels?
tbh i think i preferred the sound of my injen over my gruppe
probs just time for a louder exhaust now
Is there a way to check the MIN and MAX level of the coolant overflow reservoir? Only way i can check coolant is using a flash light placed on the bottle at the bottom front grill but still cant tell the levels
hey guys
just wondering does anyone here have these installed on their car
K-Tuned Billet Shifter Cable Bushings For OEM Cables
is it worth the $54?
did you feel any improvements in the car, in terms of just feel?
Anyone here selling a catback by any chance? Looking for anything decent 60mm or bigger. toda, js racing, fujitsubo etc
^spoon n+ is 60mm as well
thanks for the info
yeah, i just wanted to know if there was any difference in just feeling of changing gears
because sometimes when i change gears, it just feels very mushy and spongy.
i only just recently changed my into hasport mouths for my car and changing gears went from ok to heaps better.. and if the billit shitfer cable bushing will improve the gear changing, even tho if just slightly...
then i guess ill get it
i know this has been asked alot but what engine oil are you guys using now?
went from royal purple hps 10w40 to motul h-tech 100plus 10w40 mainly due to frequency of oil changes and $$ (starting to get really into track days haha)
Tbh RP is pretty overrated and exxy (~$100 for 5L) and h-tech (~$60 for 5L is a good fully synthetic (NOT A GROUP 3 - was speaking to motul rep at work).
Sadly h-tech only comes in 5L and the ep3 takes ~5.5L haha
I've got gauges so I'll report any noticeable differences between the two on my next track day next sat
My EP3 is getting pretty rough torque steer, shaking left to right when on full throttle.... Any suggestions what could be the problem? (Tires? Camber?)
what size wheels and tyres and how recent was last alignment?
whats your steering rack angle like? if youre lowered and running -1.5, and rack may be angled like a knt it might be whats exacerbating bump/torque steer that youre feeling. ep3 got no torque tho lul
simple but did u check tyre pressures and wheels balanced
yeah should've mentioned i've got a biger oil filter on it
to be more precise i think it's more around ~5.3L
Found out my front tyres are worned out! What are some grippy street tyres to run on 17x9?
The 595RSR's are fantastic for the price imho. Just don't expect great performance in the wet, can be a little scary.
Bit of a crazy stretch to have 215/45 on 17x9?
Dont waste your time with 595rsr. Just spend the little extra and get some ad08r or r1r
-Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002
-Federal 595RSR
-Nankang NS2R (Street vers.)
Decisions decisions.... just cant decide.
