happens every now and then after car is warm
try playing around with your throttle body screw ?
yeah no i have, but i have now been informed that the Y4 and Y8 throttle bodys ARE different, so i am using the wrong throttle body formy engine.... that is probable half my problem ha. so i will be replacing it this week and hopefully that will fix the problem.
other then that the car is running VERY strong, very happy with how its running now, sounds very healthy and should be even better with the new throttle body.
hey Aza, whats the difference between the y4 & y8 TB's ?
why does it effect the engine so much ?
do you know which sensor was giving you the trouble? i recall the y8 and y4 IACVs being different... could that be whats happening? how come you put the y4 tb on anyway? the y8 motor you bought not come with a tb?
Dont post unless you have something positive to contribute to this thread. If you see something thats irrelevant or not helping then report it, dont post back in retaliation
hey fishman, why don't you advise us WHY the TB differences wouldn't cause a problem and what exactly these differences are?
no offecnce, i'm just really interested as i'm looking into a minime
yeah didnt come with a y8 tb so i used the y4
well probable shouldnt of done that but :D
haha well i hadnt heard the bov at all since i put the new engine in, even when it was spooling abit (which u could hear). so i thought it was strange.... so i have put a different bov on and i could hear it all the time like only just which is more then the old one. Sooooo i decided to acturlly let it spool up abit again and see if it does the whole shoot up to high revs after spooling. and well...... it didnt, acturlly it spooled up fine, changed gear, bov went off (unlike last time) and car still ran healthy, did it a few times so yeah im thinking mayb the old bov wasnt working cuasing my intake to pressure up making the engine run crap hole after spooling. im not sure if theres any tech in there, can someone varify if that might of been what was happening? either way for some reason with the new bov just then i could spool it fine (hehe felt good ;))
how long till this bad boy is tuned???

it will be in the car park, i was meant to be showing but i just couldnt justify the entry fee. but if u want to see the car it will be down there saturday
