Hello peeps,
New to the forum, man this is a long thread!
I really like the Mugen BK. Can i get details on where i should try to get this including fitting? I know there is a place in Clayton, Melbourne that might have them for sale but i would like to know of a reliable fitter to fit and paint it for me. PM me.
BTW, i just got a new Civic Sport. Stoked!
I probably won't get them coz some of the guys here said that the rims will still look small on the civic.
But you can get them @ www.nengun.com, I think a trader here might be able to get them in for you (forgot who though). Just check the traders section and do search.
cuongn: very nice wheels there i was actually considering a set as well!
Does any of you's know whether the fd2 civic type-r wheels the 18" ones are just a straight bolt-on to the Aus civic - vti - vti-l - sports model??? or are brackets or spacers required for these?
Also are the FD2 type-r buckets seats just go on the stock rails or need new rails?
Originally I was thinking of 17s because 18s would be an illegal size so it wouldn't be covered under insurance.
I think 18s would be alright if you're not fussed about the legalities.
Most aftermarket bucket seats require different rails unless they were made for a specific model, and being the JDM FD2R those rails would be different to any of the AUS civics.
That's just my guess though...
(Sorry for the phone quality, morning sunlight on top of that)

This kit looks good.
that kit looks hot danjoy..looks like ings
It is ings...
http://www.ings-net.com/products/n-s...fd2/index.html
Does the ings kit even fit our civics? It says it's for JDM FD2R...
Would be awesome if it did though
drm sell for $120 with black paint, got mine from them. grabbed the sample ones :)
wheels : fit but the fitment slightly sit too deep inside (diff offset), overrall looks ok.
seat : stock rails can't, need those type-r rails
nice hook
A few more goodies on ebay. Im going for no#3 to complete my exterior look. Im giving Timmy a few more weeks to save up:thumbsup:

DMX: thanks for the reply!!!
how about the white EP3 rims they would fit perfectly just like the civic sport yeh?
assuming they have same offset and are 17"???
they should fit without any problem
 $600 for small piece of plastic ? but same price with oem modulo rear/front/side skirt.
i do have, initially US$120 with paint, but still try to get AUD120 with paint. will update u later. only the shipment, a bit down, by sea :(

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...a/hybridV1.jpg
and I'm in too :D but i prefer V2 (latest release), similiar oem hybrid:thumbsup:
I like the V2 as well. Hope they can get Bluish Silver as well.
Hey does anyone here know how much it costs to change the dash so that I can have a SATNAV installed? and if I can, is there a specific brand (SATNAV) that I need to get that will fit the shape?
Cheers
yeh here is the link to the double din you need...
then just buy a Head Unit with GPS in it...
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=Double
thanks
applio, can u tell us more about the gauges??very interested...wad gauges did u put in??wad brand and how much total??and how easy was it??
DMX, can u let us know when we can order those spoilers??im very interested in v2.
Looks good to me =)
Btw how do you hook up these gauges?
for put the wire from engine bay to inside are nightmare. coz space are very limited, but i managed to wire it without take off the whole dash.
and for where to adapt the oil pressure sender and temp unit was easy. but need to buy extra adapter.
and for the vacuum tube are also nightmare, coz hard to put the hands there.
ill take more photo later and post them up.
overall spend 4+ hrs
i might re-mount them later, been thinking with doing minimum damage to the dash, put them these i don't have to drew a hole on the dash.
might buy the aftermarket head unit face panel and re mount it
this is what i found on us
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...yeo/Gauges.jpg
^^^ WOW! thats a LOT! I was thinking of the one that dmx show you before:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...ozhonda/1a.jpg
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u.../ozhonda/1.jpg
this was neat
well, i have to say first, I'm not accusing someone sell thai/TW 2din dash at ozhonda trader or ebay, but i just say my independent review after selling a few Honda Thai/TW 2din dash ($155) and JDM Honda dash ($185)
color : similiar but slightly different if compare side by side with JDM dash
quality : JDM 10/10, others 8/10
pearl/metallic : JDM obvious, other : none(solid)
brackets : JDM thick, other : thin
so with $xx diff. (155 vs 185) i highly recommend to get JDM ones for your full satisfaction.
($30 in a year, only about 8 cents per day).
hardly for buyer to know which JDM or not, only seller knew (unless you can compare side by side or been told by honest seller like me :D) and my hint say :
1. JDM parts NEVER provide screws (anyone got engine start button comes with screws ? anyone bought from me, JDM 2din dash with "made in japan' tag got the screws ?)
2. JDM dash comes with "HONDA PANEL CTR" words at the back
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...erdmx/din3.jpg
(anyone who bought JDM ones but no this engraved, do complain to me..lol)
and at last, these pics worth 1000 words :D
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...arket/din2.jpg
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...onda/dash2.jpg
will update next week.
got my v lip from drm, but still on shipment. btw, i'm quite interesting with this DIY
personal preference  applio likes his to be like racing car
wow.. thats huge CENTER MIRROR :D
^^^ LOL coz he needs to look behind clearly... who cares about front :p
the usdm steering wheels are so ugly...its like theres a piece missing
hehehhe
whats the use of all the gauges tho?
for hybrid lip

DMX: Are you organising that group buy? Can you just take my order and will send you the cash? Bluish Silver and shipping via sea is OK.
this question is more foor e210i and fallen angel:
im going to barbagellos, west australian track
however ive been wondering if you guys have run with stock brake pads on track before and how you found them?
atm looking to up pads but not sure if i am in definate need of changing them yet.
im was runnin normal pads, they were fine for me...actually...it was pretty good...and im still the normal pads, and honda said they were still fine...so yeah
u used stock pads on my track day at wakie.
they were pretty good. but they wear pretty quickly.
even tho i am still using them on teh street. i have to press the pedal down more before it bites...
o relly??thats wad every1 is complaining...but i serviced my car after that...they sed i stil have +- 80% left on the brakes...im thinking of getting new pads anywae..
DMX, i want one...how much extra is with EMS??as im inpatient as u noe..hahehaha
i want one in black...VERY BLACK!!!hahaha
thnx bro
DMX: Same here if its not alot different in pricing, I would prefer EMS as well.
what are EMS??
EMS = express mail service - only 2-3 days.
if all of you want EMS, i really hope can give to you on 4 oct (i have a concert show that day..LOL), not sure how much.
ie. my v lip with EMS paid about US$100 and my roof spoiler by sea only US$20
may be about $20 on top each ??? not sure, need to find out.
Brakes wen't too bad on the track really, although they do take quite a hammering on the track. They warm up quite easily as i had to take my cooldown lap after every 2 laps so not too good in that area.
IMO they arn't too bad for the track but if u can upgrade them because it'll help so much as i've done with spoon EK9 pads =]
DMX: Even Express Priority is good as 2 weeks is better than 6 weeks, either way let us know cost of both options.
hey guys thanks for the replies!
Getting pads at the moment is a massive head ache!
intima - wont be in stock till after track day
endless ccx and ccr wont be in stock will after track day
ebc green - is no where near good enough for barbs according to most people lol
ebc red - ???
ebc yellow - ????
waiting for a call back from one of the local work shops and hopefully with some news about availability for the reds :)
I read somewhere using racing pads would eventually ruining your brake rotors so you might have to change them, more $$$ gone.
means a reason to upgrade :)
got a call back and going to go yellow stuff + remachine discs :)
Not sure what you are trying to say here because your normal pads will eventually eat your rotors also.
Granted.... track orientated pads will thin out rotors quicker, but that is the trade off you have to be prepared to take if you want a more aggressive pad.
heyz anyone knows where i can get the emblem that says "1.8L i-vtec"?? i think they have that emblem on the asian civic models...
denot --> just wondering what kinda mods u've done under ur bonnet to require all those gauges? Did you install a turbo charger or something?
hahaha...i askd already. its like oil pressure nd stuff, not boost gauge...
^^^ but but but... they're not mine
