Never mind.. Found it on youtube
Saddest thing to hear earlier today. "YOUR FD CIVIC IS SLOW AND SHIT"... came from a Nissan Pulsar SSS driver with 200K on the dial. :(
SADDDDD.
... receive phone call earlier tonight from said person (8PM-ish)... "I got caught speeding 15 over the limit".
I AM SO HAPPY. HAHAHA.
I don't track, so my 60km/h civic, is just as fast as the 60km/h C63 AMG. Thus equivalent. . .. . . . ..
kidding.
Anyway, anyone know anyone in sydney that can hook up .. some ebay blue LED lights from the bottom of the 2 front seats (facing the feet of the rear passengers) .. to the current OEM factory blue footwell lights (there's a light switch beside the, VSA off button).
Anyone know what colours are positive and negative on the rear speakers?
doing my rear speakers atm
the one with the black stripe is negative.
best way is to probe it
Thanks Curtis.
Did my wrapping. Havent finished the back doors yet

Has anybody tried these intakes on the r18? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/06-10-CIV...item336bb3da45
thoughts?
apparently the only intakes that fit r18s are injens?
read the title again

soz, was just asking just incase the stock airbox for the k20 and r18 are the same.
and http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251116105001
these look similar but it doesnt look like it has the part for the oxygen sensor
If you look closely its actually there
8-10% horsepower when coupled with a an aftermarket intake manifold, headers, decat and larger catback...
What have you guys done to replace the very restrictive r18 header.. or whatever you call that single pipe... or does everyone here have a k20 LOL
There's nothing you can do. legally.
Edit: Looks promising

Found it on 8thCivic a fellow Aussie was enquiring about it http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/heade...eader-r18.html
Not sure if any good.. how about you be the test pilot. Ty.
Pivot 3 drive throttle controller compact
the most easy DIY I have ever done :) 10 mins to finish (with no experience)
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...psd6b5f7b1.jpg
How did it go with the lovely throttle lag? and r18 or k20?
@IOU
Any noticeable gains? Throttle response now?
Gains o.O!?...
All the throttle controller does is tell is increase the amount of pressure it thinks is being applied ... E.g. you press your foot down 25% it tells it you're pushing it down 50%
110% hyperthrottle!
@JPrak
Sexy guy talking about JDM. I've seen this so many times and just now have I realized you're in it!
hahaha

LOL!!! E fame brah
@9:09
My face when Vtec kicks in.
Should turn it into a meme
Yes, there are absolutely differences between those 3 modes: Eco, Normal and Sport
Eco mode: the feeling like you are having a trailer at the back
Normal mode: like normal :-)
Sport mode: like you are going downhill and press down the pedal
It's worthy :-) i think this one is good for drag racing ;-)
Very quick respond on sport mode when you press your foot down
My god, popped the hood of a new Civic Sport at the dealer today cause I'm interested in a new car. Nek minut, I'm glaring at an R18 looking thing where a K20 is supposed to be!
Sad, sad times ahead. :(
On another note, is it just me or do Civics have crap resale value these days? Dealer wanted to give $8300 for my one owner 2010 FD VTI with 28,000KMs... no damage and decked out with every option in the Honda brochure. Asked if they could gimme a little more on the trade in and they said good luck selling it elsewhere for more than that since no logbooks (I do my own services). :(
The R20 is what you were looking at.
R20. Either way it's better than the k20zpoo which wasn't good for anything except a swap
and yes they haev crap resale value. shopping carts aren't worth much. the optional extras are worth jack shit all.
didn't you just spend a shitload anyway on all the oem options o.0
haha sadly no manuals on the r20's as well. americans get the k24 on their si's lol

Very nice jprak!
Yeah, spent a bucketload on mods. Like $5500 or something like that with 3.2K taken up by bodykit.
Not specifically looking for another Civic but looking to upsize to a people mover/van for work. Didn't want a van van, but something versatile like an MPV where you can use it as a van on weekdays and car to do other things on the weekends. So far I've looked at Nissan Elgrand (bit too dear), Toyota Estima (JDM Tarago V6) and brand new Honda Odyssey base model. Honda Odyssey is more attractive than the others but smaller.
But back to that trade in thing. I came back to the dealer again today with my brother's car instead to see how it would fare out (waste some time). Told them it was my missus car, so they had a good look at it and gave me $9,800 for a stock 2009 Corolla Ascent hatch with 47,000KM... and all this time I thought Honda Civic would fare out with better resale than a bland white Corolla. :O

Come MCM meet at Carribean Maret! I'll send you an invite
Just about to buy the DRL that fit in the bottom of the front RR bumper.
Anyone know, the best way to wire these up?
I don't want to wire it to parkers. Is there any other options people know of? Thanks!
Didn't know I had a photobucket account (prob made like 10 yeasr ago). So just thought I'll upload a test photo of my car. I have ZERO photography/editing skills.

Changed mtf today and was gonna do fuel pump. The Bosch pump i got from repco doesn't fit cause of the strainer size, anyone know where to get the pump apart from honda? Also where's our fuel filter?
Was about to sign me and a couple mates up for the big MCM meet, turns out its on mothers day so its a no go fml
Probably not. But i think my brother is gunna go in my civic lol. If you see him tell him GTFO
and buy his own car!
Mothers Day? pfft... Not important!
lol jokess... Not even for a little? Im only going for a few hours and then head home.
Does anybody know how the j's racing exhaust sits on the type R replica bar on a fd1? Does the exhaust touch anywhere along the rear bumper?
Depends which Js exhaust it is
I know the fd2r ver. Has to sit lower
I have It on my fd1 mugen RR lip while my other mate with type R bumper with Js diffuser both sitting lower ( only hanging on one )
It's the c304r made for the fd1. But I got a resonator delete and got a mugen rr rear lip and the rear lip got burnt off as the exhaust was touching it. Not sure if it was a crap fitting rear lip or if the resonator delete moved the placing of the exhaust. Thanks anyway dude
Well just go under the car and change how the exhaust hangs
Let It hang on one hook so it'll go lower
It starts at 12. So I'll probably stay there till 2-3ish and then leave. Most of my family lives in the eastside so
wont be a problems for me anyways :)
What about their Dyno Day this weekend. You boys going?

Just bought rear sway bars.
And i know this topic has been mention HEAPS of times.
But will a 22mm Sway bar actually make a difference.
Also, Anyone got a DIY for installing one?
And will i need a wheel alignment after installing one
@honda_FD damn nice! coils? if so which ones :O
I upgraded to a 19mm RSB. And that to me was a big difference already. I can honestly say 22mm would be even more so.
From what I've heard, in terms of RSB prob wont need a wheel alignment, the mechanic that installed mine said it's fine.
Quick search via 8thcivic. Looks doable.
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/diy-h...y-bar-diy.html
shouldnt need an alignment with a rsb
