yeh to cut a long story short I only found out after a year that I bought it that the guy from Honda-Tech sold me a replica wing (badges are genuine) - he claims he didn't know and got it from his supplier in Japan, so I think it's an aftermarket Japanese one or something... anyway i was pretty cut when I found out... tried to contact him and he told me yeh yeh I'll give you a refund but nothing, nada, nil. You might be able to find a couple of genuine ones on Honda-Tech but they're asking like $800+ shipping to Oz. Else, just get yourself a replica :)

430F/350R. They sent me the "off the shelf" ones which are 340/250. Pretty big difference, no way was I gonna settle for those. It's an unfortunate mistake, but it happens I guess. Just sucks that it will take >2 weeks to fix it probably.

- Innovative engine mounts black & red
- Black engine paint
- NGK blue leads and iridium plugs
- Prothane shifter bushings

Ordering my b20 vtec conversion kit & shift knob tomorrow

Nice, I like black engine bits dunno if youve seen my d16 lol, bought some matte black engine enamel and just kept painting whatever i took off lol. You doin the trans, head and IM too or they staying unpainted?

Planning to do the tranny same black the IM will prob get upgraded later on to a black edlebrock performer x as i have a good prices from my supplier or I may even just paint oem one black and get it ported & polished

Heres how its looking at the moment except ive put some 4 gauge power cable and a anl fuse holder in since the pic as ive put an amp in it now :) Just practicing on this engine ATM :)

Looks real good man.

Header wrapping makes a huge difference also! All you need is some fender washer bolts to bling the rest up (I can get you a set of 20pcs) ;)

I like the HONDA part on the rocker did u just cover it up or spray it white?

Yeh i got the headers wrapped in black heat wrap and painted black :) When i do a swap or do up this engine(still undecided) ill be cleanning up the bay so ill hit you up for some parts then :)

The honda is actually just bare metal its just got alot of light shining off it in that pic, see this one its more silver

I just sanded it off after i painted it, heres a link to a pic of the paper and block i used, gave it sort of a brushed aluminium look and is nice n shiny in the right light :)

Yeh man just sand it down a bit first to get it flat with a solid block(so it doesnt round the edges of the letters), then paint it and sand the paint off with a solid block when its dry. Easy as :) If you wanted a different colour on the DOHC VTEC thats a bit more work lol :)

Lol nah want oem colour on it so silver base. I will give it a go! Thanks for the tips once again dude lol are you a mod yet :P so many helpful posts

Lol i havent done that before but ill pm you how id do it if you like, if your just going silver whats wrong with just sanding it back to metal as thats silver coloured? saves you the effort of painting it twice :) If your doing 2 layers and most of your engine will be black id think about black vavle cover with red DOHC VTEC that would be a good combo IMO but each to their own :) Lol narr im not a mod yet, only been here a few months so bit new for that id say lol.

Intalled STD coilovers, whiteline 27mm front swaybar, ASR 24mm swaybar/brace kit.

Very happy, except rear muff bangs on the brace. Good excuse for new rear mufflage.

is the car more prone to understeer or over steer now??? Iv found even with a thicker sway bar, its not always the way to go with coilovers, than again, you gotta sort out the spring rates vs swaybar thickness

Not sure yet. Tyres are badly worn on the rear. Getting new ones today, and then I can see how they all work together. Even now though it's miles better than what it was before.

Finally done wheel alignment :D

Longest wheel alignment to date.... 2hours to realign the wheels "sigh!", but they had issues doing the front camber arms,..... so i forgive em LOL

No more modding for along time......

just go buy them from repco for 7.50 for 5mm and 10 bucks for 10mm. Had to get them to fit my rims on my car

My wheels wouldn't fit 10mm unfortunately there wasn't enough stud left to grip my wheel nuts lol

Removed blown/busted gold blox LCA, replaced with brand new blackworks red LCA so smooth

Installed hid kit 8000k

Removed the damn nut floating around in my fkn boot which was so annoying every-time it would rattle away!

Received my Billet engine mounts, Shifter bushings, ARP head and rod bolts, B20 conversion kit, RMF narrow headers

i did it myself! not the best job, and i used crappy paint so its faded abit, but ahh well, when i get the time i might re-do it with better quality paint.

Why replacing the oem lca with blox/bwr? oem may not look pretty, but heck it will last for ages lol

decided I liked my EK even more after seeing this. Gosh I hope the sedan or coupe is better looking than this. Could live with the front but the back just says Insight/hybrid all over it... And what's with the spew colour and grey mudguard things... ohh dear.

It's pretty loud but not too loud. When you back off it really drones inside the car. At common driving speeds (60, 80) it's quiet enough to not attract too much attention though.
