@DAN Bring me JPraks spare lip please?!
Guys was reading before, is corolla really faster than fd?
My mate test drove the 9th Gen and a Corolla SX and said the 9th gen had no guts at lower RPMs, relative to the Corolla. He said he felt like he had to push his foot down more on the accelerator to get the car moving.
The Corolla had much better pick up and more torque.
I'd recommend the Corolla over a 8th/9th gen.
they're all fun wheel drive and suffer from fundersteer under power hehe
True True. When I drive mums 2009 Corolla its quicker down low but top end FD is hands down better.
The only downside to the corolla is its gearbox. Its only 4 speed and its stupid as. Never knows which gear to be in.
I come out of a round about at about 40km-50km/h with m foot barely on the accelerator and its in second gear at about 4,000 revs.
As of Luxury/Comfort I'd pick a facelift FD2. Pre facelift is fine but im not a fan of the Grey leather. 2009 + FD2 for the black leather and sunroof
Apart from the gearbox Corollas are fun to drive. Zippy little things and handles VERY well.
runzo have u consider other cool small car
focus?
golf?
lancer?
Psssssssssss woooooshhhh....................hairdryer will be available shortly, makes fd slightly faster B-)
I actually will if you want LOL, we have a day dedicated to exploring sydney and shit
In regards to 9th gen not as zippy as a corolla. Compared to the previous gen corolla, the 9th gen feels heaps zippy compared to the corolla (sedan), but that could just be the particular one i drove. Also drove a different one (hatch) and that one felt zippy though. Havent driven the new ones yet
Comparing to an FD however, handling, seating position and interior hands down is better than the corolla lol
I got this stupid gap in the rear lip that keeps opening up. I used from permanent 3M tape from bunnings, but the gap comes back every time the weather is warm. I don't know if bunnings tape are fake but this is annoying as fk.

Any ideas to how fix? Any recommendation for double sided tapes and where to get? I got some epoxy from supercheap but it says it won't bond polypropylene which my rear lip is made of so I don't know if it would work. Anyone got experience with this?
Any help? Cheers
Get some urethane. A few blobs with double sided tape does the trick on mine.
hey guys, problem my wheel splash guard got ripped off....any advice?
Can you elaborate? LOL which product? Did you mean epoxy? The lip is made of polypropylene so epoxy doesn't work. Would urethane work? and which tape did you use? Thanks
Yeah but I don't know which one to get. So many on the market. And where to get one? The tape I was using is 3m "permanent" tape from bunnings LOL doesn't really work. I just have to point a hair dryer at it and the tape starts to fail
I'd personally get it fixed from a professional.
Doesn't matter how much tape you put on it, it looks like it's going to pop out again, anyway.
I suspect the bottom of your wheel guard where the bumper is screwed in, is where the real problem is - you might have to stretch the bumper around the car a bit more so that it wraps around the rear of the car perfectly. At the moment, it looks too loose, which is why it keeps popping out.
Well it looks like my FD will be NA again sooner rather than later, like this weekend, so if anyone wanted a spin in the next 2 evening's speak up or forever hold ya piece !

used these on me side skirts and rear pods, they havent sagged since
I've noticed a rattle in my drivers side door. From da bass. And only when it's cold.
I looked at the door skin and see there is a gap where you could pry a screwdriver/knife and pop the door trim out.
Once popped... Is there stuff to tighten to make said rattles go away??
Fank you very mucho
yep

gona put new clips in and drilll new holes to fit around cable ties. temp fix till i get a new one
There's always something moving in my pants whenever I see lolmclols name
Does that mean i need foam tape? Lol
Soz bored
Went and bought some double sided foam tape from bunnings.
Took the door trim off (after watching bullshit YouTube vids)
Once the trim was off I couldn't see many places that the tape would benefit. Put some in various places anyway.
Baby Jesus died for our sins.

Did you tape everything? Hahaha
Look behind the secondary plastic cling filmy shit?
dang hybrid interior looks good!
car looks sick in general nice job man
the left door had a slight rattle too.... so i did that first just incase i ****ed up and had to drive the car around with the trim off.
but anyway IT WORKED WONDERS!! the only youtube videos were from american dudes with only one screw to un-do. ours have two screws (and the normal ones you pop out)
so i put Project Pat in.. pumped da bass up.. and its tight as ****. like new.
thanks again to whoever said use foam tape.
Has anyone tried to wash their engine before? Mine's pretty dusty and I'm tempted to hose it down...
If its only dusts you could use a general purpose cleaner with rags and not hose it at all

I'm really liking the front ends of the hatches. I think they would great with the right wheels. The back end looks like 50/50 though IMO. I'm thinking of getting one.
Do it! There's one in the UK that UK honda/mugen did up and it looked pretty good
edit: heres one with the mugen kit

It might get a facelift next year when the Type R version comes out, although its apparently unlikely.

still looks to0 much like an oddysey B-(
i dont think id ever buy a BMW. even if i was rich.
love how your hybrid sits, threesix :-P
but it's a BMW, it's better by default
how much milieadge do u get per tank on hybrid civic
I'm getting high 6's atm. My rear tyres are almost down to the wires so that might have something to do with it.
Regardless I can get 600+ out of a tank easy. The stop start shit helps. Honda tell massive porkies about what the hybrid should get and what it does.
