Didnt know that ;)
I think it's so 1. Ya boot air doesn't get too stale and reek & 2. If ya lock some1 in the boot they can still breath.
Anyone noticed that the euro comes with strut-bar? it is not a normal strut bar whereby a bar goes from the left strut tower to the right strut tower, but a thick tube which goes from the strut towers to the firewall.
i only found this out last week
if u hold down the CD/AUX button for like 10 seconds....the display on the CD player hides itself
i found this out when i was lying down inside my car and put my feet up above the centre air vents....my heel mustve been on the CD/AUX button without me knowing. All of a sudden, i just hear this BEEP and it was gone!
lol
An interesting thing I noticed is that when you turn off the engine and get out of the car and go to the front quickly, the engine does something after shut-off.
It sounds like it is pre-priming or something, I can hear an electric motor do something and then a click, then silence.
Maybe the engine is preparing the oil or fuel pressure or something.
But its confusing because I thought Honda engines prime the fuel before ignition?
lol dunno how i never noticed this before, but for an auto, the gear stick doesnt come out of P unless you have your foot on the break!
i was thinking, wtf, why isnt this thing letting me move, then i was like, hmm, press the break, wallah !
dunno how i havent noticed, all these years lol
yeah thats a safety precaution.
Apparently a few years ago Audi got sued because the car accelerated without the drivers consent and ran over a kid, so Audi implemented the brake-push requirement to exit from Park. Now pretty much all Auto trannies do this.
But it turned out to be user error, the driver confused the accelerator pedal for the brake pedal... Still, its a welcome safelty feature nevertheless.
Also won't let you take out the ignition key if you still have the auto-tranny in drive. Or not 'park'.
To my embarassment when I asked the dealer manager how to take the key out of my car.
Yesterday in Hong Kong, some German guy in a service centre was preparing a Porsche Carrera 4S for the customer. When on the 3rd floor and about to drive the car into a lift, but he stepped on the accelerator accidentally and shot through the walls of the lift ....
The whole porscha shot down the lift shaft and landed vertically.
The guy climbed out and got rescued.. Funny stuff :(
.....thats all well and good but wats that got to do with this thread?
Back on topic........ You know the power steering resevoir? Only the red bit comes off, not the grey top cover. So if you put a spoon sock for it, it's not doing much. Hehhehe.
