im staying on stock shocks with the 2" drop. 18x8 +37 on an fd will not fit with a drop i reckon =/.. but then again is only 3m difference to my +40.. sooo idunno actually lol

well.. ill tell you now, i have stock sus atm, 19x8 on +40/+42 (i forgot) and if i had my car lowered by just springs, the shock tier which the spring is held captive by, will be sitting on the tire itself.. might get away with it tho.. depends on the springs compression rates or whatever they are measured by.
hence why i have to go for a coilover set up. ive also been told there is no camber kits for fd yet to correct it .. might have been wrongly informed tho.
ahh i see.. hmm... do you think if i went with a 215 tyre on my 18s and a 1-2" drop i could get away with it?
hmm yeah i've only seen camber kits for the USDM civics so far =/
u can get away with it...even with a 225 tyre...all u need to get rite is the off set man...with the rite off set ive seen a civic with 20s without any modification done to the guards or the rim it self
I have fitted a set of Pirelli P6000 205x15 to my Mags. Gee it made a big difference in the feel and handling of the car, it's much more direct and stable on the road, it also feels a lot more heavier in the steering which I like.
The only trouble is I feel a bit of road murmour coming through the steering wheel, I have had the wheels balanced twice at Bob Jane. I even took a stock standard Demo for a ride yesterday and noticed it in that I suppose it's the nature of the beast.
nah ej, cos the rims i wanna get are 18x8 and +40 offset. I can't find any other rims at these price that are this model and colour... so yeah =[
Should be good ALTHOUGH if your ONLY getting springs then more than likely it'll scrub during uneven roads/ people in the back/ speed humps. Your front tyres might scrub when turning full lock.Quote:
