had hot and p0rnstyle s3x in my EM1 ... made sure the windows fogged up so no peekers can see from outside..
oh ...also re-fueled the flux capacitor (fuel tank)... LOL
:)
ASR Brace and CTR rear sway install with Hard Race bushes and endlinks, handles even better
Has anyone fitted / heard about vrs kits and how hard they are to fit? I have a leak between the head and the block and want to replace all the gaskets. Anyone have a rough price on fitting / labour, how hard it is etc?
watched it drive off into the sunset with its new owner :'(
Gave it a full buff and polish installed ek9 headlights & fitted new oem front bumper.
Unfortunately Writing for sale description today! It will be missed
Changed the oil and filter today, went for Castrol Edge Sport 5W30
Radiator change to eBay aluminum radiator in hopes to keep the temps down... And also stuck on NA is best sticker!!http://tapatalk.com/mu/c0947564-e974-7c1f.jpg
Yesterday was engine oil and today was gearbox.
Went for Castrol VMX80 and the fill plug was a bitch to remove, as I didnt have a suitable ring spanner and there is little room for a socket
Big difference in smoothness changing gears which surprised me as the old oil looked in good condition with no foaming.
My sister owned this car since new and always got it serviced at the main dealer, so now I'm wondering what gearbox oil they use as the Castrol VMX80 is such an improvement.
Also changed the plugs, fitted NGK ZFR5J-11 and that improved acceleration a bit.
Tomorrow will clean the throttle body
Listed the EK on gumtree lowballers apply within lol stupid scammers already hit me up twice in 3 minutes!
Gonna take the ek for a car wash has not left the drive way in a few months!
got my steelies back on, anyone want some 17x7 advanti racing wheels w/ potenzas? (fronts worn backs okay) $550
almost hit a car that didn't give way on the long weekend - can't wait to fit new brake pads
Also looked into getting some Race Ramps - about $400 for 56 inch 2 piece set from US incl delivery. Hopefully the tax man is kind to me :)

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...rPicture-1.jpg
installed a set of innovative 60a street mounts over the weekend into my stock ek4. car feels great. engine idle has a little bit more vibration in the cabin but a much nicer driving experience overall.

Watched it backout of my driveway and into it's new owners hands! I hope he takes good Care for it just like I have
Whitecome, so jelly man. Is it original?
and a OEM grill too please!
yeah... but they are vitually the same. the plan was to do the facelift conversion with oem grill. but everytime the b16b vtec hits, i forget that i need to find a bumper :P
Virtually the same .... Virtually the same?? :0 where's the love brother!
lol... sorry. but im at this stage if it looks tidy. it wouldnt worry me. a original ek9 bumper will cost about $250 upwards for what? a piece of fibreglass... maintain a clean interior and maintain the engine and exterior to its best status means more to me.
lol easy guys. everyone has different taste and put different things on priority. thats what makes each other unique. i took the mouldings off cos im sick of getting stupid quote from the panel boys charging me $100 for labour just to take front bumper and moulding off. then i just couldnt be bothered to put it back. also i guess the little holes cools my brakes? LOL.
had an absolute sh*t load of rain in Wollongong Sat morning, drove as slow as I could through literally rivers of water on the road - thought the air intake ingested some water at one point, but might have just been me freaking out
Sorry to hear you sold your pride and joy the other day mate, shame after all that work you put into it...
plans for a new project or still thinking things through?
Hehe all that hard work was paid off with a some good pics and loads of love bro
Moved onto the dc2r now :) maybe a little project later on but for the mean time it is stock as a rock full factory condition even with the OEM 6 stacker cd player

http://tapatalk.com/mu/31b2d044-8bad-6fbe.jpg
fantastic mate, that's the way to do it - so jealous would love a DC2R but I think my days have passed for a coupe :( just a bit impracticle for me
But congrats on the purchase! :) :)
My left window decided to derail itself from the window rails while i was on the way to uni, so i pretty much left the car window up for a good 2 hours.... scary as hell LOL... had no choice ... but now its fixed :D
My EK was overheating today, Think one of the radiator hoses has burst of below the I.M. Took it to a workshop so we'll see what they say. Fingers crossed nothing serious...
Ordered Hasport engine mounts, New torque mounts and a replacement cat.
Filled all the locks(doors, ignition and boot) with graphite powder.
Cleaned and checked all the door and boot seals.
Cleaned and silicon sprayed the boot/hatch struts.
Washed the seatbelts with hot soapy water then risned them with hot water to fix the retractors.
Cleaned floor mats.
Replaced the dodgy switch for my glovebox light with a stronger switch as i broke the last one :)
Interesting i wasnt aware of that :) Seems like a good idea tho :)
You can take the belts off but i went for the lazy way first and tried to clean them while they were still attached and without removing any panels.
I just grabbed a bucket of Hot water(as hot as you can go without burning your hands) with a few drops of concerntrated dishwashing liquid and a clean cloth and sat in the car with the bucket on my lap. Then you pull the belt out as far as it goes and put as much of the belt in the bucket as you can then start rubbing the belt with the cloth soaked in hot soapy water.
once you have rubbed down the whole belt i just wrapped it around the drivers seat and handbrake to keep the belt out so it would dry faster. Once its dry if its still not retracting wash it with hot water and no soap to remove any excess soap.
If your still having problems after that you can silicon spray the belt to help it retract.
Wadup Hasport mounts! picked these up today now just gotta wait for the other parts to arrive :)
http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMAG1227.jpg
Lol I ive done the mounts before, Some of mine were crack/too soft so i took them off and filled them with polyurethane as a cheap fix to get me by untill i got new mounts :) definatly not fun but should only take a couple of hours.
No worries mate, no im a security officer lol:thumbsup:, been pulling apart motorbikes, cars and electronics since i was little so you learn things along the way :)
just ordered 'Energy Suspension Hyperflex kit' so i can upgrade all bushings at the same time. $217.22 landed in 5 - 6 days *fingers crossed*
brake pads arrived

Did a few things yesterday and today.
Heres how it looked when i started.
http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMAG1233.jpg
Then i installed hasport mounts, removed the torque mounts and refitted the stock components.

http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMAG1246.jpg
Heres how it looks now
http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMAG1263.jpg
Yeh the torque mounts are the ones at the front of the engine, it would help to leave them on there but i had OEM ones filled with polyurethane that were too solid and transfering vibrations to the cabin so i removed mine :)
Thanks they look alot better than the old ones i recon :) I got the 62A rated ones, Vibration is less than i thought it would be which is good. I went from mounts filled with sikaflex 255 ES to these and they seem to be softer surprisingly.

Cusco Brake Stopper
Nice one are they any good? havent use a brake stopper before.
DO the brake stopper eliminate the annoying vibration when braking over a uneven surface? such as over a pot hole or bad surfaces? always wonder how to cure that......
No idea on on both accounts as I am yet to test them out, seems to be a worth while mod from what i've read
brake stopper will stop the fire wall from flexing when on heavy braking.
it will aid in brake pedal feel
Finally changed out the 13 year old rear speakers, i must say, the overall sound system is much much better now, was running just 6 inch splits at fronts, now 6 by 9 and splits :D
though it was a bitch getting to the rear speakers, a good 1.5 - 2 hour job >_<
man I'm getting the biggest itch watching all you guys put stuff onto your cars.. right now I don't have the time because of uni and also my best mate AKA helping hand just had a baby so I've got so much stuff sitting in boxes waiting to be installed...

bought some Meguires Plastx for my gf's car, so decided to give it a go on my EK headlights too. Mine weren't that bad to start with, but meh, seeming I had it...
