Hi guys,
I'll be taking delivery of my Euro Sport tomorrow. The dealer is claiming Honda sends the 5 year extended warranty to your mailing address. I'm thinking this should be stipulated on the contract, or that the dealer at least states this in writing.
What are your thoughts/experiences?
The dealer filled out the extended warrenty thing with me when i picked up the car, they may send something out afterwards (only picked up the car on thursday so i haven't received anything as yet obviously) but you should be filling out the application/registration when you pick up the car.Quote:

Yes, the dealer should get you to fill out an 'application for extended warranty/roadside assitance' when you pick up your car. Or at the time of finalising settlement/contract.
The rest (e.g. confirmation of acceptance, letter and Honda Assistance card) is posted out to you. My dealer simply posted me the application booklet with a self-addressed envelope so yes, there isn't much wrong with that.
However, make sure you have the 5 year warranty put down on your contract paperwork 'just in case'. My dealer needed a gentle reminder and it takes 2 seconds for him to write it on the form.
Thanks for the quick reply - really looking forward to getting it.
I noticed Honda have extended the offer on Euro Sport until 31st August... I thought they'd pretty much sold out of everything?!?
i paid $45,000 drive away for my auto 06 euro luxury...
that includes all the usual shit like paint/leather protection, etc..
its a bit expensive, but i bought it on the spur of the momment... :o
i could of got it for $42,000 but i couldnt get out of my other contract... ah well... shit happens...
Would yo uhave gotton all that paint/leather protection included for $42000?Quote:

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums!
Anyway, am considering trading my subie in for a euro sports, can anyone recommend any good honda dealers in melbourne? Sometimes better deals can be done with subaru regional (country) dealers, has anyone had the same experience buying their honda?
Appreciate any advice, especially concerning availability, good deals, etc. thanks!
hey, akh10! I'm pretty new here too. I found this site after I made a purchase, can't say I was happy with how everything went other than Price.
However, member ' UNLS1' aka James who works at Courtney Patterson Honda in Heidleberg should be able to hook you up nicely.
Wish I bought off of him.
So you are giving someone a plug but you didn't actually buy the car from them? I hope people take these sorts of recommendations with a grain of salt.Quote:

ps - if anyone gets an unsolicited PM from a car dealer offering to get them a better price on a new Honda please let me know.
