My 05 also warns me if I drive with the handbrake on... but obviously, I don't get that lovely text message, just that annoying chime (same as the seatbelt one I think), along with a flashing handbrake light on the dash.

Hmm, it's different on my car. I get in the car and lock the car using the remote. I then put the key in to start the car. The alarm sounds and the engine doesn't even crank.Quote:

anyone noticed that the horn used for the alarm is different to the normal car horn.
there must be seperate horn for the alarm.
yes.. noticed this when my battery went flat and had to call in RACV. once the battery is connected, the alarm is triggerred.Quote:

Dont know if this is a feature of 03 lux euro or bug. When I disarm the central locking/alarm and do not open the doors(havent actually counted how many seconds) the system rearms itself. The first time it happend I thought I must have accentently hit he button in my pocket. It has done this three times now. I just counted it now as it did it again. 25 seconds rearmed itself.

This does not count opening the boot. If you un-arm the alarm to just open the boot thinking you may open the door later; but after a while (maybe is 25 second, I did not count) close the boot. the car will re-arm. So be careful not to leave your key in the boot in this situation.
