anyway....mr late, can you tell where you gpt your reversing bulbs from?
i still havent found any cheap but bright parkers yet :(
can use as parkers and reversing lights
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pair-T20-...#ht_3333wt_902
quite expensive but the led chip they use are the same as the one they use in security torches so it'll be frikken bright.
its called you can take it to a mechanic for a service
doesnt take a genius to do an oil change...
and mr late. one of the Cree bulbs you linked says its t20? thought parkers and reversing lights were t10?
how many Watts or lumens are usual t10 leds? whats considered bright?
engine oil...not petrol
wat do you think happens during a service? a honda mechanic takes apart your engine, gives it an overhaul, then reassembles the parts and runs a full performance diagnostic on it?
its mostly just oil change, filter change. check engine doesnt assplode, brakes work/arent worn/are worn so they can upsell you etc

and ICU2,, nicely said
I love the look of those paddle shifts, wish they came standard with the Aussie model.
How do you actually use the shifters :o
If you're in drive, click the paddles down/up and it will do just that. Once it senses you're driving normally it will go back to auto.
However, shift into [s] mode and it's just like a clutch less manual.. Although I haven't used that mode much just yet....
I shifted down once and the car went instantly slower and was totally like wtffffffff.
Once I drove a bumper car, does that count :o
too bad it didn't have paddle shifters :p
Back when I was still driving the CU2, I always use my paddleshift. love them especially when taking over a car. :)
Is anyone interested in buying a brand new genuine Modulo front bumper? Please let me know.
Edit: Honda is currently having a sale on the full Modulo kit for $2,799. This includes the front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, spoiler and sports grille. I'm after the rear bumper + side skirts only thus I'm asking if anyone needs the rest so we can split it. Sale ends real soon.
How much is the bumper?
They're only selling the kit as a whole... if we're after seperate parts, it's just normal prices :( I asked how much it'd be for the rear bumper + side skirt and he said $1,400. Also, if you were interested, I'd think about buying the whole kit then just parting out that front bumper for you and I'd keep the rest/sell the sports grille and spoiler.
Wouldn't the colours be different then :o
Could ask for different part colors o-o... Maybe
How much would you be willing to let the front bumper go for then if you bought the set and split :p.
While I can do the servicing on my car myself, which I've done on many occasions on previous cars, and can even do a more thorough job, the fact remains that I am neither a qualified, nor authorized "service centre" and would therefore fcuk up my warranty, not to mention lose out on any potential resale value by not having a service booklet stamped by dealers or authorized service centres. Sad but true.

Hi, I'm interested in fitting the Modulo kit to my car.
May I ask who offered you the price of $2,799 for the kit?
I want the front and rear bumpers + side skirts, but without the wing spoiler (I prefer the Ducktail version).
I sent an enquiry through to the dealer, and got this response:
"In regards to a Modulo kit for your 2010 Accord Euro in Volcano Grey:
"Honda only offers it as a kit (Front & Rear Aero Bar, Sports Grille, Side Skirts and Wing type boot spoiler) and don’t allow us to change the style of the boot spoiler
The price of Parts is $3580, in the kit form.
"If you would like the Duck Tail type Spoiler we would have to buy everything individually which would greatly increase the cost of parts to $4284.
"The labour to Fit these items would be 6 hours at $132 per hour for a total of $792.
"Thank you for your enquiry."
Does anyone know what's the best way to go when buying the Modulo accessories, and then having them fitted?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Tony.
Pm'd.

Guys, keep your buying and selling stuff to the For Sale thread or PM...

Yeah, I can't tell the difference in that picture?
Doesn't the euro already come with a silver speaker surround?
What's with the interior panel set as well, looks the same as the silver trim in the car?

Oh wait, mine doesn't have rings.
I don't notice these things o.o
Hey guys, I posed this in the "No Cu2's In Aust?" thread but I think I'll probably get a better response here... Thanks in advance!
Is there anything else I should know bout lowering a cu2 on 20's?Quote:
I'm still in two minds of what to do. The only thing I would want to do is put some 20's on it and lower it slightly so it won't look like a 4x4 if I do put rims on it.
I don't really know much about the lowering of cars so I thought I would ask some advice before I go any further (maybe I should post this in the Cu2 mods thread??). As I said I don't wanna slam it, just a modest drop to make it look better with 20's on it. Can I lower it just using Pedders springs all round? My Lancer is was dropped just using Pedders springs all round and it had no problems at all, and the ride was still pretty good. Any advice would be great.
Any thing that could be done bout both?
I assume the speedo would read slightly slower than?
well...camber issues can be fixed by camber kit and the costs adds up.
i dont think it is just a bit slower...from what i know 19" rims would be the appropriate maximum size as the speedo reading seems to be almost spot on...say reading of 99km/h when driving at 100km/h as opposed to 96km/h read out when driving 100km/h...not exactly sure but it is there abouts.
plus by lowering and having camber issues would wear out ur tyres sooner than normally would...plus the cost to replace a single tyre is approximately low $400 per tyre....it adds up...plus found out that the prices of tyres have just gone up recently when i had to change all 4 of my tyres after 3 years...
got mine on teins ss damper kit with edfc kit with the front and rear lowered 15mm and 10mm respectively...anymore than that and camber would start to become a issue....and i am still running the standard lux rims with one finger gap on front and rear.
if you can get coilovers that would better than just springs depending on how long u gonna keep the car lowered plus gives u flexibility to adjust the height and damper depending on ur situation...
I just got the car so I plan on keeping it for a few years yet.
What are some decent coil over brands to look at? I'm not the sort of guy to go sourcing parts and that, I'd rather line it up at a work shop, tell them what I want and let them do there thing. Just like to research so I know a little bit of what I'm talking about first.
I'm not looking at going all out lowering it and slam the car, but I don't want to do it half assed either. How easy is it to adjust the height of coil overs?
i initially looked at the modulo suspension and spring kit as well as the mugen ones but they were just shockes and springs set and did not offer flexibility plus the cost of them are not that justifiable compared to coilovers in regards to the price of buying them...
but the costs of installing them are cheaper than coilovers as you would expect coilovers need a bit of testing and setting up to get to work how u want it...
there are few...teins...bc...and a few others which i am not too sure if they make them or not for the cu2. plus with the high dollar late last year, a full tein ss damper kit itself shipped from the usa would be around the $1400 mark shipped. as i had the edfc kit installed with my teins coilovers, the process and setup took longer and was bit more tedious and costed more than just the coilovers installation. And the price varies...had mine corner tuned, setup by a track specialist and someone who knew their stuff and did it properly. and i can tell u it was not cheap...but worth it.
adjusting would dependign on how much u are adjusting it...5mm toreance is fine without any need to do a balance and alignemnt test. 10mm or more you would as camber issues will come into play and few other factors...to adjust it properly would be ideally done at the same place that isntalled ur coilovers but would not take long at all...
plus with springs only u may find that ur car is lower but still feels bit bouyant especially when driving through dips in roads and similar situations...
i think there is one or two members who have 20"rims on their cu2s and a few who have also the teins ss damper coilovers... and some who have just went with the springs options...
1 finger gap would be decent enough for lowering...
if u decide to use teins...speak to a company called fulcrum in your local state area and they would be able direct u to a authorised reputable installer and just a note the installation would be under warranty. if u buy the parts locally, then the parts and installation are fully covered with warranty. but if u buy the parts say from the USA, then the only thing covered is the installation....just a piece of mind if something goes wrong...
get teins like everyone else
the price and quality is second tonone.
go to ebay then ask sellers for a better deal esp on shippping
u can go for the coilovers or just springs like me.
im considering19''s but hard to get wheels that size, ad speedo issues.
i think 20s on a euro is excessive, but neccessary if you lower your cari got a kiton mine so have serious height issues lol
is there a way to calculate the speedo diffwith biggerwheels?
http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
the tyre size is the determing factor , so having 19 rims doesn't make a difference when talking about speedo issues, other than that tyre sizes that closely match stock diameter tyres may be more rare in 19 and quite expensive.
You could choose from any of 225/40/19, 235/40/19, 245/35/19, or 245/40/19 all being well within tolerance. Not sure the 245/35 would match the 98 load rating though.
Thanks for the info guys. Gives me something to think bout...
Didn't think there would be so many issues/things to consider lowering a car on bigger rims though.

I bought these bad boys (10Watts)for the front turn lights. I might have bought the wrong bulbs though (forgot to check if 7440 is the correct bulb. Planning to put them in after I clear my headlights in a couple of weeks.
Edit - I couldn't wait, plugged them into the rear indicators and they work perfectly! So assume the front will work.

Hi Guys,
what tyres are ppl choosing? Have to order new tyre soon.
Happy with the stockas as they've done well on st and track.
thought this might be useful for those who are thinking of removing the amber bit on their headlights, got my headlight lens removed from the housing at a place that specialises in headlight repairs in Melbourne metro area.
Since I replaced my headlights with the UK clear indictor ones, thought I give it ago as I was not game enough to do it myself plus didnt have an oven big enough.
The place is called Headlight & Heaters in Abbottsford, VIC. Costs $40 exc GST to do one of the headlights, that is to REMOVE THE CLEAR LENS ONLY and $75 excl GST to RESEAL IT PROPERLY WITHOUT ANY ISSUES PLUS WARRANTY ON THE WORKMANSHIP should anything go wrong.
So far only took the lens off as was planning to do few retrofit mods to the headlight and few other things. Atm, took apart fully only one of the headlights and if time permits and what I can source then only I will put it back together.
Just thought might be useful for those in VIC who are planning to do this mod.
I'll try get some photos up tomorrow! Flat out cramming for a mid semester exam at the moment.

cheers for that. I actually got the details of that mob of another member here...gave them a call and they said bring the headlights down. Just waiting for a box of goodies that I ordered from Heel and Toe to arrive before I start ripping the front bumper off and take the lights off.
