That's excellent fuel economy. Car is at Chasers Motorworks and tuning will be complete by the end of the week, will give some feedback then. Are you also using hondata NA15BS?
-
no, im using chrome, tune by toda, adrian,, hope you'll get a good results...
-
Oh ok well that's an excellent result. We'll see how it goes... thanks for the support (Y)

Just an update, my car has had extensive tuning all of today and yesterday. So far on the dyno everything has been improved, I get the car back tomorrow and I'll update this thread when I get some consumption results.

I pick up the car this afternoon at 2. 123kw atw was the most we could get before it stopped responding to timing changes etc. Very interesting to note mugen twinloop made only half a kw less with same curve as 2.5inch straight pipe (no muffler). There was over 100km done on the dyno but I'll see today whether it was worth it.
-
Doesnt sounds surprising. We had similar result when we change a straight pipe to a cannon (top fuel) muffler.
Do you have a a pic of the dyno graph? Dont worry about peak power, its the middle bit that counts

I picked up the car this afternoon. After Paul's tuning on the motec m400 over the last few days it feels like a totally different car. The street map makes the car extremely civilized and tuned for economy on light-medium throttle and cruise, with noticably more power throughout the entire range than before. On track tune the throttle is extremely lively with a/f ratios tuned for maximum response and power.
The car starts quickly and from cold it gets straight up to 1300 rpm (where it stays).
The car is most definately quicker now, all the parts are coming together with this set up.
Interesting to note, tuning was conducted with and without airbox+filter on ITBs, as well as with mugen twinloop and straight pipe, however no more power could be extracted. So it's just as powerful in civilized street mode as it is in aggro race mode!
For a professional tune in Melbourne I've discovered Paul @ chasers is hard to go past.

Will post dyno sheet as soon as I get scanner hooked up...

Here's a graph...interesting to note it looks almost identical to my the old tune on the power FC but its MUCH quicker and definitely has more power now, EVERYWHERE.
Car drives like a standard car (very easy even from cold, and is showing to be much more economical already)

i told u on the lorne cruze that ur problem was with ur original tuner...........
i havnt had experience with paul myself....but a few mates have and are not happy.,.....so its good to see ur happy

I was aware I needed another tuner and another compute but I didn't know which at that time.
I spent a lot of time sussing Paul out and he knows a lot about tuning and especially setting up motec. I also spent a few hours with him while tuning in the car and out and he was systematic and extremely thorough. He did about 150km of tuning and it shows.
I made sure he knew what I wanted out of the car which I think is important.
