is it possible to remove the side moulds then spray or is it easier to just mask up and spray?
What lip is that?? Noob question I know...
I know JDM yard has the 'Type R' lip for the EG which looks like it is slightly bigger in size compared to this one...
yeah the side mouldings would be so much easier to paint if I could figure out how to remove them. I think they're held in with those plastic pins that break easily and you have to take the inside door panels off to do it properly. I really didn't want to do that.
and the lip is just a OEM lip from any honda dealer which cost $90.
i took mine off, they're just hold onto plastic clips. and theres one screw on each door at the end of the door. But what i learnt was if you tired taking it out, it kinda bends the moulding :S, better just to leave it and spray it there
Very good DIY :) I just sprayed my Spoon Style mirrors in black for my EK. The only problem I encountered was I got this orange peel effect on the surface of the paint. Is there a way to prevent it becoming like that? I've read this can be an issue when using a aerosol can to paint.
did you sand it before spraying it? I recomend u should, just go for 600grit sand paper. Paint should stick.
great diy!
just wondering where you picked up those cans of powercolor clear top coat as i might try this on my own car soon
cheers mate
I got the powercolor clear coat from Autobarn as well as supercheap auto .. in the large cans.
i realised if you dont sand it and paint straight over it., it tends to go bubbly right?
