its hard to just pluck out a number. when mine was b18c i launched at 6000 and 6500rpm pre-loading the clutch on toyo street tyres @18psi. got 13.9 and 2.0/2.1 60ft.
just gotta practice, my theory is keep it in vtec off launch and if it boggs rev harder next run.
my mates bone stock 1997 dc2 vtir ran a 15.3 @ 90mph with a 2.4 sixty footer on tuesday at wsid
dont no if it considered a good time but i found it to be pretty impressive as it was his first time at wsid
fogot to add - full interior , street tires no mods
yehp thats the one , theyh raced eachother twice
thats a pretty good effort for first time racing! i wouldn't mind seeing pics/videos of the race and this guys car sounds pretty good.
With my old DC2 I ran the following
- 95 DC2 B18C2
- 5zigen headers
- Injen intake
- High flow cat + custom 2.25 cat back
- Exedy HD Organic
- Spoon Flywheel
- Hondata s200
- Toyo T1R
- Full street trim
Zero experience at the track. Only did 9 or so runs but my times were roughly:
15.8
15.6
15.2
15.2
14.8
14.7
15.0
Launching at roughly 4000rpm. With more experience I was confident I could run her at 14.7 each run. I'm sure if you put a skinny guy in it (I'm 85KG) and stripped it she should be good for low 14's.
Not very fast considering the mods. I think this is the main reason why I will go JDM B18CR in my EG when time comes around. B18C2 is nice, but not crazy enough.
Sounded awesome though.
i know how ya feel man.. i am hovering between 85-90kgs lol
Too many protein shakes
brb roids
If you find yourself beefing up too much from the protein and roids.
Just turbo your car. GT35R to start with and go from there.
You can roid rage all over the road and just blame it on "torque steer". :)
lol you guys are complaining...
im in the gym 4 days a week and rugby training 3 days a week and im between 96-103 kilos depending hahaha, just means more weight reduction for the vti-r lol
