make sure u get one that fit in your glove compartment where you can hide or place properly. i was thinking of getting a box before i got the laptop and place it at the boot but i will always need a keyboard if i want to do any configuration which is a hassel.
With a Netbook, i can remove it straight from the car which i think suits my lifestlye more..
I was thinking to have a small keyboard (mini keyboard or something they say... - just as big as a netbook Keyboard) inside my glovebox and touch screen to replace the mouse... The main unit (PC) will be stored under passanger desk or even inside the glovebox (depends)
but then again, it all still a plan, dunno when will I do it... :p
heres a unit that will knock your socks off

i saw eurosteve install it on his infill G4 setup with his double din setup
LOL! Thats what I have on mind as well xsite85... but maybe just go for this cheapo one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mini-Slim-Wir...3286.m63.l1177
Wow.... no-ones mentioned a Pico ITX yet... strange indeed!
Basicly, its just a small motherboard. Comes with everything you need for a car setup IMO, but dont even think about playing games on it.
(Note: Wasnt ever sold with the six channel sound card)
see here: http://www.mini-itx.com/reviews/pico-itx/
Other option if you have more room... go the Mini-ITX boards.... They are the shiznit!
See: http://www.via.com.tw/en/initiatives...itx/car-pc.jsp
They will all require you to have some basic computer knowledge tosetup... but the rewards are immense :P. Having the comp boot up on accessories switch, having it shut down the rightway everytime you turn off your car (small battery) and the fact that you can stick it anywhere!!! 12x7.5cm.... quite small indeed! (can go smaller... but abit more $$$)
I havent read every post in this thread but you might like to consider a Mini foldup keyboard that connects via bluetooth for your keyboard needs?
Just an idea.
