jack your rear up, right under the diff there's a huge 24mm (can't remember exactly) bolt right in the centre of the diff facing down, undo that and drain it... after drain, bolt it back, then somewhere near the side of the diff there's a 17mm (also can't remember exact) bolt, undo that then use a pump or a 500cc syringe and pump 0.9litre of diff fluid in.
keep pumping until it leaks out (while OFF the jack/ stands)...
DONE. easy. save yourself 100 buks... u only need to buy 1litre of diff which is ~$13-14 per litre
Sweet, i'll check it out today or tomorrow. What kind of diff fluid do i use? and wheres it bought from haha.
just use honda diff fluid , and get yourself a pump from supercheap, or a 500cc syringe.
should be ~13-14 buks per litre at Honda as i recall... or buy Redline diff oil which cost a lot...
note that theres i think 4 different kinds of honda diff fluid
since the S2000 is RWD you can't use the fluids that go into the civics.
i believe theres a normal diff fluid for the regular FWDs, theres another diff fluid for the CRV, MDX etc and another for the S2000 and NSX
think they're GL4, GL5 and GL6. unsure which is s2000's
GL seems to be common convention
honda uses VTM in front of the number
Honda Hypoid Gear Oil (HGO)
SAE 90 API GL5
Part No B1720
haha... have spare bottle near me.
i remember something from years ago. not sure if it was GL5
but yeah most honda dealers will sell you the one from the CRV which i THINK was GL5
i gotten it before from the dealership. took it to hanny's and he said its the wrong fluid and my diff wouldnt make it to the next service with that fluid
again. i THINK it was the GL5 that was the wrong fluid
but then it seems to have AP1 in the reference code
i think my post in this thread will help everybody lol

I could not find the mobil synthetic oil( 75w-90) anywhere,
so i settled for the castrol version: http://www.autobarn.com.au/products/10/225/1732481/
Picked it up for around $20 at Mekong Canely Vale, usually 25% cheaper than most places =)
