Might post in the recent thread - basically peoples opinions on the RE001's vs R1R Toyos. Ive been using the RE001's and love them.
How about Michelin Pilot Sports 2/3 or Pilot Perceda PP2??
I think its going to be expensive.... have to check the price
RE001's (Known as the RE760 in the US/Europe). Are a good tyre... IF you can manage to get them for a good price... The price for which you would pay in an ordinary tyre shop is simply too expensive. Their tread wear doesn't justify outright grip. They're better than average in the wet and sidewalls a firmer than standard. The bridgestone tyre centre discounts were you can get 16" 205's for below $140 a tyre is good value. I would however put several similarly priced tyres (RRP) ahead of them. Michelin PS2's, Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's, GoodYear Excellence/Eagle F1 A-Sym, Dunlop Direzza Z1 StarSpec.Quote:

The Michelin Pilot PS2's (rated Best Street tyre of 2009) are quite pricey in Aus. Their retail price doesn't justify the difference between competitive Tyres. They don't wear TOO well either. I got quoted $250 a tyre for 225/45/R17's which was on special from $310 or something. Quite Pricey.Quote:

ive had them for about 3 months or 4 months but they have been used alot longer than that before.
sidewalls seemed alot stiffer than my last set which were toyo t1r. alot more confidence in the corners and grips harder in the dry. havent tested the limits in the wet, don't think i want to from what i heard lol. but ppl say they r only OK in the wet.
