dc5r eating petrol

i've always used vpower, it doesnt burn too fast hence always gettin 500+ even under the occasional "push". I might have to try mobil and see if there's any difference...
But regardless, it depends on wether you go to a lot of stop-start traffic or not/if you're a "heavy foot" type/anticipate traffic...

Everytime you fill up, just make sure the hose is somewhat vertically down and turn the fuel handle upside down as there are always a little bit leftover fuel in there that people usually forget about...its basically fuel that are left inside the hose/handle...u paid for it so make the most of it...

You're wrong. All DC's have 50-litre tanks. Even the first gen SX16 Integra had a 50 litre tank. Check the hard specifications if you don't believe me. The fuel gauge is a little alarming as it shows empty/reserve very early on to stop optimistic people running it until dry.

Even a current model Suzuki Swift manages to squeeze a 48-litre tank in it.

Even though the AuDM DC2 is officially tuned for 95RON based on spec sheets, I go further on BP Ultimate 98RON. 95RON usually gets me around 450-460km until the reserve light comes on. With BP ultimate the car does 500km until the reserve light comes on.

running my dc5 non-R on V-power. Mainly highway driving (from city to nepean hospital). full tank can last me close to 600km and the reserve light hasn't come on.

So OP. In summary,

use 98 octane fuel for a few tanks and see how you go :)

OP, i have the same problem full tank i get only about 350-380 .. still can't figure out what's wrong with it, i drive normally 3000-4000 rpm and yet my mileage is so crappy..

check your tyre pressures......................

That comment is wrong. I own a DC4 and DC5R. My DC4 is only a 40litre tank.

Further confirmation, if you have the 1994 Integra Service manual (downloadable online all over the web), refer to page 3-7. Fuel tank capacity: 50L.

yeah just got it services last week..

btw how often do you guys use the A/c? could that be the reason why my mileage is low?
