There is enough clearance for a hacksaw man
if the screw is soft just force it out and put a new one in the soft ones break easily. dont know why you using a drill on those plastic screws lol
they're not plastic screws lol -.-"
heres a pic :
just imagine that the screw is rounded as a fuker's shaved balls lol

Still going on this..! :)
If U can't get it out U may have to drill it out and re tap the thread - how to do! Remove the part to make it easier.
Don't ya just love it when an easy job becomes a pain in the ass! hehehe
If U don't wanna do the above get the car or car part to someone who has experience, good mechanics always have tricks to sort these problems out quick smart.
Or drill it out and use a thread restorer like Aaron recommended in my DIY above, looks a bit easier!

Get in there and have a go ya self mate, can't keep relying on others.Doing the job ya self is so rewarding :)
I didn't think I could put my coilovers in a few days ago but I sussed it out and had a go and it was easy as! and it's feels great to know U done it.
He's trying to remove a philips head screw, not fix a messed up thread.
I reckon the wrong screw driver size was used, hence the head was messed up. Happens often with philips head screws. I'd use an easy-out and then replace with a proper hex-head bolt if it takes a standard metric thread.
the tool I recommended works a treat for your situation.
Do U mean the one I posted or bludger's haha :)
