Why is the EK system preferred over the EG? Any reason,or just because one was available?
Nice build mate I like it :)
That's awesome. Is exactly what I want to aim at doing. But I still got no space, or know how. lol.
And i'd have to buy a 2nd care while this is being done.
Keep the updates coming. Will be sick to see it finished.
Cheers guys.... Yeah its gonna be one hell of a job but thats why is a project car. I havn't done one before but from mates the best thing is dont put a time frame on it. Just work through the list which is what im doing.
Splintercracks - Space was a issue with me... Still living at home so I cant just take over everything haha. But we moved house and got a bigger garage so I stuck a deal with dad and now I gotta rent space for it lol. And yeah I got a 2nd car, ute comes in handy with everything. Getting parts, transporting the car and its good fun off road haha. I have just uninsured my civic but KEEP paying the rego.
Will get some more photos this weekend. Having problems uploading to my computer.
You will need to check with your state's motor registration authority as to what they will allow in the way of mods, especially as you're intending to change the engine/fuel system/exhaust etc. Some states have restrictions on capacity increases/ whether the replacement engine was one that the factory fitted to other models in the same range. You may need an engineers report and certification. Keeping it registered as it was before modification you will find is most likely illegal and could result in instant defect and removal off the road. I.E. being towed away. Don't want to put the frighteners on you, but you need to know this.
yeah cheers for that hondapop... Contacting a engineer this week. From what I hear from other people who have dont a similar thing in perth is that its normally ok. Honda engine in a honda car cops shouldn't know much about the engine I donno tho. Drive sensible and you wont get done is my theory.
Good to here you're doing that. Every state has it's own rules. Some are easier (more sensible) than others. Qld where I am's not too bad. Vic from what I hear is a bastard. Here now, your engine number appears on the window sticker and there are moves afoot to put all your info on the number plate and the cops are going to be able to access it electronically without even disturbing themselves from their seat. Don't know if you've got a Civic specific club in Perth but there are a number of peeps in the crxaustralia.com club would be friendly. Also a good source of info and help.
Has anyone done the EFI conversion? I just picked up my fuel system and was gonna get started. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to connect the fuel pump up?
Yeah I got the pump and tank... The problem is that I currently have the gavtiy style pump so theres no wiring. So gotta work out to to add the wiring in. No rush the engine mods are last to do any how. I just got the tank and lines so I got them for when I start the engine.
if your pump looks like this or similar

you need the original plug and wiring from the EK the tank came from. You're going to need an EFI harness
