Depends.

If the 2 pieces of metal are at a fixed distance between each other (and does not budge), the thicker oil could create more pressure, and in turn, create extra resistance/friction.

I saw a new Honda FEO Ultra at a Honda dealer spart parts shop. It is a 'newer' product and it doesn't mention 'Synthetic' anymore. Anynone know more about it?
