heyas thanks guys .... for the replies ... i've decided to go for the 2.5 mandrel bent cat back for my teg ... the whole package is a little to expensive :!: :!: :!: i'll start saving for the header for next years list of mods to do :D so we'll see what happens.
Yeah eric i remember ...
I got a quote for my the piping ... $1000 for 4 to 1 header, higflow cat, and mandrel bent pipe to my existing muffler.
or $350 for just the mandrel bent cat back to my existing muffler
hmmmm not sure which to go for ... quoted from fussy's of hume highway ... i think the catback sound more affordable. still waiting to get a quote from livo exhaust.

I got my exhuast done at liverpool exhuast, its a 2.1/4" cat back. It is quiet loud, i think if you get anything bigger the car will be very slugish, but you might get better power top end. I dunno, if you can tell the difference or not. But its loud.i dont think extractors will make much difference in the integ. But if you do get the whole set up i.e. extractors 4-1, high flow cat and 21/4" exhuast fitted let us know if there are any significant power gains. But if i was you i would skip liverpool and save up the bucks for the better stuff like fujitsubo ss around a grand i think.

kkekekeke...... waiting for boogets and ginggangoolys response to boosts reply..... dum di dum di dum :P

freid: Why have these guys got this setup? or what?

imo, brand name cat backs are a waste of money (in terms of the price difference)... performance gains over a good custom system are nill.
headers are a different kettle of tuna though.
i feel i've had some very good gains out of my system, but i'd have to get my arse over to hills motorsport to get some figures to back up my inner-ear dyno.
i've got some charts comparing a 2.25" and 2.5" cat back (on my car) though... and a stock dc2r that was at the dyno with me.

fujistsubo ss <<< what the ??? not sure what that is man could you elaborate dude???
so 21/4" is better im assuming???
-
Fujistsubo - Is that even how you spell it?
Anyways it's an exhaust brand!
-
if its noise ur worried about dun get zorst dude!
put in resonators to make it quieter, it doesnt restrict airflow
but hondas special vtec's r fkn loud!
2.5 is better in future if ur gonna go serious, like cams n stuff
wanna race?
hehe ill show u wat headers n 2.5 can do
kekeke

Hahaha...go race kraftykuts son!! hahaha

"Fujitsubo" is how you spell the brand....
I think that getting a wider exhaust cat-back will just make the car louder in the end, unless you really work your engine. All these power figures and gains that people talk about.... And fair enough dynos might be fun and show you how much power you have, but performance doesn't depend only on dyno. So a V8 can have three times the power on dyno than a Type-R but that doesn't mean the V8 will beat a Type-R on track, or in a straight line for the matter. Just saying whp isn't everything :)
And like I said before, 2.25" is the stock DC2R exhaust diameter. Might want to think about that...
-
and jap spec dc2r are 60mm (2.36) in diameter. also something to think about ;)
