go read the sticky in the prelude forum on h22a type s, it will show what makes the extra 20hp.

the accord h22a is detuned.

if i were you , get eh prelude gearbox along with the whole front cut because the accord ratios are different.

the prelude box is close ratio and will have better acceleration.

Your mechanic is a dumb shit if he says the h22a will not bolt in there without changing cross member, shafts and wiring. u can use same cross member, accord shafts and intermediate shaft and all of the existing accord wiring loom except for one sensor that dodent come on a h22a engine.

I am not a mechanic and i did the conversion myself.

Sure, the extra wiring you have to add is a bit of a head **** but if anyone runs into trouble let me know and i'll help you out.

hey h22a accord, is it ok if i get the accord sir front cut and tell the dude to swap the accord gearbox for the prelude M2B4, and would the accord sir have the p13 ecu??

Also when u say the accord is detuned what exactly is detuned cant i tune it to be the same.

good luck finding a 2nd hand jdm m2b4 gearbox :) i dont think the accord sir h22a would have a p13 ecu cos its a prelude ecu.

i think the power loss comes down to the different ecu.

lol. well if its just the ecu that is diff i im sure i can find a p13. and then remap it with a mugen chip so it redlines at 9,200 lol but this gear box thing is the only thing annoying me atm lol

p13 manual will be a bitch to find.. m2b4 is liking finding a needle in a haystack... and wen u find in be prepared to pay big $$$$$$ .. anyways to me h22a is a good all round motor as stock.. it doesn't go that fast in preludes as mentioned b4 from weight.. but put it in a DA, DC, or EG.. hehehe completely different story.. plus h22a is alot cheaper then getting b18c

and by the way... my VTi-R lude kicked ass over many a turbo car (before i turboed it)

The advantage of the H22 is the power/cost. NO other Honda motor will make 200whp for anywhere near the money.....
