you do the threesix fuel challenge yet lol?
drink a litre of petrol and smoke a bong at the same time.
Pics of you doing it 1st
Just a thought... could the petrol station that I am filling up at have inaccurate readings on the meter thing on the bowser? Like 174KM --> 24L yesterday on 91 unleaded WTF. Only filled up because it was extremely cheap, like only 130-something per L.
I filled till the thing went "pop" and stopped pumping... nek minut, start car up and I am still one bar from full!
I do 98 only. Average is about 160c/L . I get about 450km, and that's with horrible city driving, start stop traffic, and the occasional heavy foot to overtake.
Everytime it clicks, I always squeeze a little more, as like you said, when it clicks, and you stop there, its def gonna leave one bar from full.
Also (not sure if placebo), I realise if you park with the petrol cap pointing away from the pump itself, so you have to stretch the pump over the car to the other side, you can get a few more mL out of the pump. I noticed one day, when I almost dropped the pump onto the ground, a good few mLs of petrol flowed out of the pump handle, without me even pulling the trigger. So there's must be some left over fuel still in the pipes.
So by having the pipe stretched over the car, you ensure that whatever is in that pipe does not sit there, but instead drains into your tank, after u finish pumping.
And if you made it this far in reading... 130c/L vs 160c/L .. for our 40L tanks. at most it's about $12 extra. I always sit back and think, that's just a KFC zinger box that I can give up for 98 fuel.
Happy times.
i just filled up and waited for the 'pop'. always full bars.
my car always gets better milage when its stop start driving.
Had no bars left on the fuel gauge..fill up 12ltrs and trip meter dialed 115kms with 3bars left on the fuel gauge..60% stop and go traffic..
Atleast you fella's have a functional fuel guage, mine died about 3 mths after using E85 ! Trip meter keeps me going when i dont forget to press it.
Okay, so I've been filled up with 95 so now we wait. Had 1/3 of a tank left. Have noticed some difference as 100KM of driving and I use up 4 or 5 bars of the fuel guage as opposed to like 6 or 7 bars last time. Currently at 190KM and haven't reached mid point yet, two bars to go till mid point. This is very significant as I'd be under mid point at around 200KM and down to 1 bar at 350KM. I'll report back accordingly after another few "fill ups".
