yfin, maybe it's a combination of slipping clutch & spinning tyres.
I can smell the burnt clutch smell today in the engine bay.
VSA was off albii.

The wheel hop I have seen is really violent in the Euro - I never want to experience that again. Also - as you guys have verified - you still get good acceleration with just 2500rpm.
I'd dropped the pressure in the fronts to 23psi, and I still experienced wheel hop on one launch. However it wasn't as bad as some of the wheel hop I've had on the street.
Yep, wheel hop is very violent in the Euro, but I don't think it'll break anything. I haven't looked into it that much, but I think it's caused by a combination of tyre pressure, traction, and suspension.
Go on.....get out there on the street drop the clutch fairly quickly from 3000+rpm and floor it!.....you know you just want to kid yourself you're blazing away with an M60!!!! hehehe.
Ermm.. To much wheel hop causes stress on the engine mounts...
And with the Euro being vibration free due to the soft compound of the mounts.. It's more suceptible to cracking....
Wheel hop would also not help rattles :(
Yes, that's a given too much will cause a problem. I think my comments may've conveyed the wrong impression as they were filled with sarcasm (especially the last very sarcastic one about an M60, and this first oneQuote:
