So since fitting this ecu I am only getting about 250k's from a full tank.. the car is driven hard all the time either at the track or in the hills but with the p73 ecu I was still getting about 400 a tank.. maybe my o2 sensor is just bad?
Off topic, but, my CRX build date is May 96, so that would be OBDIIA? Did they bring in the OBDIIAs on and after Jan 1 or sometime mid year?
I don't know where to look for that information and I'm afraid of ripping up the carpet in the car to have a look at the ECU.
If its OBDIIA it will have the factory Immobiliser. The MAP sensor will be mounted on throttle body and the IAT in the intake runner tubing. OBDI MAP is on the firewall, IAT mounted on the intake manifold and no factory immobiliser (green key on the cluster)
Also OBDII had all black interior and not the two tone door trims.
Definitely OBDIIA then...thanks for the info.
I decided to try a p2t to see if it would fix my fuel economy and bad idling and other minor issues. It wont start with this ecu, I'm assuming its the immobiliser, starter motor works but engine doesn't start. Do I need to swap the immobiliser chips between either the previous p73 or p30 that were working? Do these ecu's have immobiliser chips like the p2t has? Thanks
If the ECU is OBDIIA then the DIY on this site will show you how to bypass the immobiliser
Thanks, I'll search for it
