2.25in piping to xforce cannon muffler, the pod is a K&N with out the box. I now have xforce headers and extreme HD clutch and chrome lightened fly - dont know what it'll do now but it has to be better than 16 maybe mid 15's?

thats what ill be doing then
I know of some1 with a sss pulsar N/A with full exhaust intake and LSD that got a 15.08 at drags with just those mods, surely a integra can achieve that??????
ok. but i myself still rather have Vtec instead of having a turbo. I just love the look on them 5l VL, turbo silvia and 180sx drivers when they get beatten by a NA 1.8l. And i didnt want to spend the extra cash on a turbo. Also on the matter of Insurance, once ya turbo ya GSI i believe the insurance would be alot more then a vtir. and from the insurance quotes i got it was $128 diference between 1998 VtiR and 1998 GSI (quoted by Just Car Insurance, way cheaper then NRMA). I also dont want the troubles / unreliability of having a turbo on a car that wasnt ment to have a turbo.Quote:

At the next set of lights his passenger was hanging out the window yelling out "hahahaha we owned you". So i just gunned it again and left him behind again.. I wonder if this person is on these forums? it was a thursday night near Broadmeadow, Newcastle. I'm not saying that i'll beat all GSI turbos, his was probly just shite, and or not tuned properly.
PS i dont know everything and i'm not laughing "cause i got the faster car". There is plenty of people on here who have faster cars then me.
i used to love the look on just about every car that tried to race me and got thrashed when i had my nissan.
there is nothing unrliable bout turboing a N/A engine if done correctly, and tunning means alot!!
the person that tuned my nissan and my mates turbo pulsar will be tunning my.
if my mate can get 320fwhp out of a sr20 im sure theres similar gains on a b18b. i may not know alot bout vtec but i sure do bout turbos, ive driven 1 for the past 6 years,
ill be turboin in 3 months, till then im just fitting a set of itr extractors air intake and maybe put a straight thru muffler in back, c wat the best time i can get it at drags then turbo once i can afford a full rebuild with low comp forged pistons im looking at arias pistons atm, bigger jectors pump, ecu, and lsd
fair enough.
Myself, if i wanted a turbo car i would by a nissan or wrx that is factory turbo. I couldn't justify spending $8k (or what ever it costs) ontop of my $16k car to add turbo/internals/tuning etc. When i could by a nice 200sx / wrx/ skyline allready very quick. Let alone the fact that it will still be front wheel drive.
From what i've heard alot of people are haveing troubles with their turbo GSI's.
Anyways mate good luck to ya with the turbo, let us know how it all goes.
theres a few turbo integras here in perth. havent hear of anything goin mayorly wrong, just your basic maitenance from everyday thrashing
i ran flat 13 with j racing s.charge dc2r on street tyres at calder
um... neither?
jrsc suffers from horribly low adiabatic efficiency(means that in the compression process, a lot of energy is converted to heat instead of used for compressing the air) and are VERY difficult to intercool. High IAT's due to porr adiabatic efficiency and no intercooler is a reciped for disaster. You're very limited by what can be done here. This makes them suitable for a stock motor at lower boost settings. Unfortunately, to really make any kind of decent numbers, higher boost levels are needed, which is really not safe to be doing due to the rediculously high IAT's that come when you step the boost up on the jrsc units.
The centrifugal chargers suffer from all the negatives of a turbo, without any of the gains. By definition, you have FAR more lag with a centrifugal charger than you do with a turbo. They have better adiabatic efficiency than a roots blower, and can be intercooled much easier, but still just don't perform.
Either way, you looking at a lot of effort to make not that impressive of hp gains and pathetic torque gains for a forced induction set up.
Dam where was i on that thur nite. Not in Broadmeadow obviously. Was it near Energy Aus stadium, cause isn't there speed camaras along there. May have to ventager out there to watch these random encounters. Don't be afraid to wave to me if ya see me out there.
